If you are looking for a place to get in, get served and get out, this may not be the best place especially on weekends at meal time. If you are looking for great food at a good price you are in the right place. Wait staff is really good too.

Great local spot to grab some good brunch. The staff was extremely quick and the menu featured some local cuisine. Nice and cozy atmosphere inside.

Can't recall how I stumbled on this place. But happy I did, as I love not having to travel west past Old Spanish Trail but I also love trying new breakfast places. The service was awesome, very attentive and kept that coffee cup full. It reminds me of a good solid diner with great breakfast (and prices). I had the blueberry pancakes (YUM) and ordered my bacon crispy they got it right on the crispy which does not happen often. My hubs ordered the corn beef hash and said it was great. You can't go wrong here for breakfast. One word of caution the Mexican breakfast items are what I will say are 'Americanized' so take a pass on those, unless you like that (as opposed to the authentic level you would get elsewhere at a Mexican restaurant).

Portions are teeny, tiny. You leave still hungry. Menu has 2 eggs but it barely is 1 egg on your plate. If you want to add a extra side of bacon, sausage or ham, it costs almost as much as the whole meal. Very disappointed.

We love this restaurant ! It's the only place I found in Tucson where you can actually get really good turkey sausage , since I can't eat pork it works out great and the food is wonderful the waitresses are awesome the cooks are always spot on.

Thanks to my phone, I accidentally found the Bread & Butter Cafe and decided to try it after seeing Gus Balons was closed for July!! Small town environment, great people, awesome food, and the coffee was excellent! Will definitely return to a great place to eat! Thank you!

Fantastic lunch monday. My wife, & I were planning on breakfast, but the time got away from us so we decided to have lunch. It was around 11:00 so it was between the breakfast,& lunch crowd. The place was about half full, so we new the order would be placed quickly. I must add as we walked in the greeting was quite warm,& genuine. Four servers working, & all gave a wonderfully fresh salutation towards the both of us. This was also noticed throughout our entire stay with every customer that walked in, or was leaving. We had a friendly,& very knowledgable server. She was patient,& accomodating when we ordered, & very attentive throughout our lunch. We ordered a Philly Steak sandwich w/fries, & a reuben with crispy fries, & extra pickles. (The thing we've noticed through many of our dinning experiences in all types of restaurants in, & out of the city is that often times special requests, within the orders are typically forgotten, or made incorrectly). In the multitude of breakfast,& lunches we've consumed at the Bread & Butter over the last twentyfive years this rarely occures, perhaps two, or three times in totality, but has always been corrected within a timely manor with rapid replacement, apology ,& a smile. The lunch was amazing, both sandwiches were prepaired to perfection. Hot, & abundant with product, bread perfectly toasted, not inundated with two much butter, (which occures often on the toasting). The fries were plentifull, & prepaired exactly as I had ordered. The condiments were fresh,& I got my extra pickles😋. Our server replenished our ice tea's, regularly, & was constantly present, without hovering over us!. She recommended desserts, but we were stuffed. The.check was dropped at a timely manor,& change with a warm departing salutation was very quick. I can't emphasise enough about the quality,& care in food,& joyfull service my wife, & I have experience at this clean, warm, & very positively run restaurant!. I would put it up against any mom,& pop place,as well as any chain for the attention to detail, in every important aspect of dinning!!. Definately a 10+ in our book!!.

The most important meal of the day is best eaten at the most important place. Bread and Butter is a staple of Tucson serving a wide array of breakfast (and lunch) items. Portions are ample and prices reasonable; anything requiring gravy is best to eat (biscuits and gravy, chicken fried steak, or chicken fried chicken). But really everything is worth it.

Wow! When we first walked in, the place was full! Only 2 seats available were at the counter. We almost decided to go elsewhere but I'm so glad we didn't. We only had to wait about 5 minutes and were seated and greeted with really good coffee immediately. The waitress was very friendly, food came out fast and was delicious! I have no complaints!
