Go upstairs if the weather is nice. Nice craft beer selection. Very friendly staff
Good restaurant with a different type of menu than most places which is refreshing and appreciated. Service sometimes is slow and would recommend owners re-evaluate some of the wait staff. Would still go back for sure for the food.
I was unimpressed with the food. The restaurant claims Cajun cuisine, having eaten actual Cajun cuisine I disagree. Our hurricanes were properly layered but had poor flavor. My jambalaya consisted of rice, meat, and undercooked vegetables smothered in tomato sauce and Cajun spice. The tomato was so strong the flavors of the other food was lost and there was not nearly enough meat to cost as much as it does. I’ve had better gumbo frozen and reheated from a bag the reason I gave two stars and not one is service was reasonably fast and our server was very polite. The dining area was very clean and so were the bathrooms.
Great brunch. Good price on drinks. Wonderful rooftop. Check out Wine Wednesdays.
I've only had one bad visit of probably 15 times, this one time was the morning of a big football game. Drinks and food are usually tremendous. Service is usually average. I would recommend going anytime there is not a large Virginia Tech event happening.
Open on a Monday I walked right in to receive prompt and super friendly service. Charles was at the bar and he was great. The shrimp on my salad were cooked perfectly, plump tender and favorful. I'll definitely be back to give the other dishes a chance to contend. ;)
Nice location with great outdoor seating on the upstairs deck. Boudreaux's has a great menu with daily specials. My friends and I especially like Wine Wednesdays.
At a resturant you shouldn't have to go thirsty or hungry, Boudreaux's is an unfortunate exception. Food was a miss 2 times out of three, their hamburger is a facsimile of a Whopper, their spices have expired. Service was a miss 3 times out of three. Lunch service took an hour and a half.
Tap beer was served warm. Good drink specials Monday's and Wednesdays and their wine buyer has a good palate but plan on eating somewhere else because you may be left thirsty and hungry.
The food and atmosphere are easily a 5 star experience, but sadly the service can be lacking. It can be even worse if you go at peak hours or sit outside on the deck (which I cannon recommend enough weather permitting). Inside is also cozy with very private booths. Great place for dates. Really good appetizers, po boy sandwiches and Cajun fare. I've also had brunch here and it's pretty good. If the service and prep were just a bit better I would give 5 stars. As it is, it's worth the wait.
Amazing southern food. If you like New Orleans, Cajun, and a great atmosphere, Boudreaux's is the place for you! I had the jambalaya and it was one of my all time favorites. To top it off I had the Chocolate bomb! It was slow but the wait was well worth it!
Overall, good food, fun place. Nice outside atmosphere upstairs. Service was slow but we weren't in a hurry. Go there to relax and enjoy your friends. Good beer selection. If you like very very sweet mint juleps, order theirs.
