My wife received an operation there on December 20th.
Dr. Heidi Sapp and the hospital staff were very professional, and we're very attentive to the job they were doing.
During the two nights that she was there recovering, the nursing staff, Jackie, Jessica, and Christina were very caring and did a stellar job taking care of her.
Especially Suzan Whiting, she was like an angel according to my wife, she says the hospital is very lucky to have her, because she was so caring and compassionate to the patients under her care.
So we would very much recommend this hospital for your care!

This is the first emergency room to get my diagnosis right after weeks of going to other doctors. I had a great doctor who took all of my concerns seriously.

I was admitted to the ER because I couldn't keep anything in from "both ends". Then, I developed a fever of 103. While the first room I was in took a while, the nurses made sure I was kept warm and comfortable. When asked if I wanted morphine for the pain, I requested to not have any because I suffer from horrible anxiety. The nurse was completely understanding and even broke down each medication she gave me after that, as well as telling me to let her know if I feel even the slightest bit of anxiety so she can check back. When I was admitted to my room for the next couple of nights, everyone was incredibly kind-down to the people who came to clean the room and give me food. I have never experienced such a caring staff. The physician I saw was polite, but very quick to get in and out. However, I understand that it's a hospital and he has a lot of patients to see. I was nervous when he said I could go home that day, because I still felt awful but he was correct. The nurses told me to take my time and helped me get dressed and another nice man wheeled me to my ride and helped me get in. Thank you all for everything that you do!

This hospital does not even deserve a 1 star rating. We came to the ER this morning at 10:20am because my girlfriend had been vomiting all morning long. After being checked in and having her vitals taken, it took 2 1/2 hours for her to see a doctor and then another 1/2 hour for the nurse to return and give her some medication for her nausea. While the entire time I was asking for help from anyone I could find, with only the response of "Sorry, that's not my job" or "Everyone else has been waiting that long too." It should not have taken that long for someone to see my girlfriend and to give her medication so she could have some relief. It is unbelievable the lack of effort and care that we have received today. If the ER is that busy to the point that someone with a real emergency has to wait 3 hours to get treated, you really need to hire more nurses and doctors. I know for sure that I will NEVER come back to this hospital again. I would rather go to a hospital that actually cares about their patients.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience here with the birth of our daughter. The staff and accommodations were great. The only issue I had was the way after-hours entry was handledI had to walk the length of the hospital to bring my wife a late night snack.

Worst hospital ever. After waiting in ER for 5 hours they finally decided to admit my mother. On visiting there was NO ONE to inform us where to go. Finally a security guard helped us find our way. No one anywhere to inform us. When we called to find out what room she had been transferred to they told us they had no record of her. Other relatives calling her were told they couldn't find out her condition without "the code" ????? Never told us what that was. Given two phone numbers to call the room. One didn't ring at all. The other constantly said all circuits were busy. Only gave one star because that was the lowest I could use.

My brother was admitted after being diagnosed with cancer. The Doctor and nurses were compassionate, understanding, and caring. They were strictly dedicated to my brother's needs. Outstanding performance by the entire staff!

I recently visited the Emergency Department and the woman (Kris or Chris) looked at me as she shook her head and said "Yes?" With the worst attitude I hAve ever seen. I am very disappointed when someone is in the ER the last thing they need is one of the Hospitals staff being extremely rude and unprofessional. As I told her I needed to be seen and handed her my papers from my previous visit that instructed me to come back to the ER for an ultrasound between a certain time, she snatches my paper and looks at it and says this isn't right you must have misunderstood. Then with her nasty attitude reads the paper and realizes I was right and shakes her head again. She then hands me the papers back and said it's going to be awhile again with an attitude and says wait Over there are you kidding me? I've never met someone so rude in a hospital before. Extremely disappointed in this hospital.

I moved here less than a year ago and to make a long story very very short, it's top priority that I have a good, solid team of doctors caring for me that I would visit regularly. With a long history of a chronic illness this is vital.

This passed two months (February + march 2017) I had been hospitalized and had some of the worst doctors in my care that I have experienced. The communication level was basically non-existent and I caught my doctor LYING multiple times; to me and to specialists I see in Nebraska.
The doctors were not listening, they were not communicating and they had it in their heads that they could take care of something that ultimately ended up being much greater of an issue than they could handle.

Not only did I have a terrible experience, but my mother was admitted the weekend I was discharged with the flu. She also experienced a huge lack of communication between the doctors and nursing staff. The quality of this hospital is simply poor. I have since changed to MUSC and don't plan to EVER return.
