Love the location of the restaurant. What makes it beautiful is the that is near the Ocean. It’s just perfect 👌🏻 great vibes. After our boat ride we decided to dine on the pier! My boyfriend ordered the following;three tier sea food platter and it was extremely delicious. We also ordered lobster. Attached are some of the photos that I took from that day. One thing that truly annoyed me about this restaurant was the snobby waitress. She was super unprofessional! I truly believe she had no previous experience as a waitress. Anyway, if you’re around the pier this is probably the best restaurant out there with a beautiful scenery.

Loved this place. Food was excellent; server made enthusiastic recommendations and told us about the one-man operation from which they get their fresh salmon. Ingredients are fresh and thoughtful. As a vegetarian there were a few good choices on the menu for me; I went with the grilled tofu with veggies, mango sticky rice and pineapple salsa. Fantastic. Can't beat the Arroyo Burro Beach backdrop, either.

Ate here for breakfast and it could not have been more beautiful. Amazing view of ocean. Excellent food. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved it. The service was wonderful and our waiter Moses was terrific. Really generous pour on the mimosas since they served them in a wine glass. We ordered the California Benidect and boat house signature breakfast with crab cakes. Superb! The view the food the drinks! We will be back!

I never usually do negative reviews but the service, or lack thereof, was worth me writing this. We arrived on a Wednesday evening for some drinks and food. We stood at the host desk politely awaiting any kind of acknowledgment by the servers behind the desk. They then looked up at us without a word. We then asked if we could sit at one of the empty tables in the empty dining area for drinks and apps. We were rudely instructed by a server that we couldn’t do that and that we’d have to sit in the already packed bar. We had our grandmother with us and she was clearly walking with a cane. So sitting on a bar stool at a crowded bar was not an option for us. Grandma kindly asked a different server and we received the same gruff response. We then decided to leave and go somewhere else. I’ve worked customer service my entire working life and I have never experienced this from a fellow service person before. It makes me wonder if we weren’t bourgeois enough for this place. I just thought, “wow - the pretty woman treatment kinda sucks.”

Nice food. Picture perfect location, right on the beach. Staff is super friendly. I was served by Sam, terrific person . He took keen interest to make sure we had a great dinner ecperience. Enjoyed it !!!!

In short: Service was two stars, food was four stars.
It's busy whenever I come by here. Very, very long wait for our food. Half an hour went by after ordering, server didn't come by to check on us at all in that time. Tuna melt was tasty, fish tacos were a bit dry but also good.response / report this review -

I haven't been to hendry's beach in about three four years and I'm a third-generation Santa Barbara. I stop by there this morning before I went to my job. They have done a lot of changes and it's all for the better. What a great place to hang out. Did not eat at the restaurant but the beach itself left side you can let your dogs off the leash right side is dogs on leash and people sunbathing carrier they've done a really good job with it and everything is clean from the bathrooms to just the all around Upper Beach area. They are taking a very good job of keeping that place clean. I'm bringing my dogs next weekend. Worth the drive.

Went here for breakfast with 4 adults and 4 kids and it was perfect! The beach setting had the ambience we wanted and the great service and food added to an amazing time. To top it off, the price was very reasonable for a group of 8 at any restaurant (let alone a beach restaurantand in Santa Barbara).
Of special note was our server: He kindly advised us that the adult pancakes would likely be too much for the kids (which they were but the kids didn't mind having extras to bring home) and how he quickly replaced a full plate of food upon hearing about a strong allergy concern one of the adults suffers from.response / report this review -

The most bicycle-friendly restaurant in all of Santa Barbara? It's a contender. Lots of bike parking, water bottle refill dispenser, too. The Boathouse offers great food with sublime oceanfront views. Got friend visiting from out of town? Take them here for a unique beachfront experience. Come by bike

Beautiful view and fantastic food and drinks! We waited an hour for a table but took a lovely walk on the beach in the meantime. When our pager went off, they seated us at the best table in the place. Highly recommended.

A delightful lunch experience that gets even better on evenings. Good food, good service, nice attendance and a gorgeous full beach- and ocean-view setting. Relatively reasonable prices. On warm days it is hard to park, but the longer wait time can be spent admiring the beautiful Hendry's Beach.

Excellent food and service. We had the salmon and wedge salad. Zach was an EXCELLENT waiter. He helped us with food and wine choices and was very informative. Beautiful view!

Always a wait because of the location. A half hour wait for a parking place, a 35 minute wait for a table. They have a parking place for dogs which is wonderful for the dogs and their owners but constant barking while your eating. Had the medium raw platter very good except for the mussels which were very small.
Service was excellenta place to be if you want to be on the beach.response / report this review
