Stopped in for lunch on the way home from the beach. Service was excellent, food was good. What I liked: chicken n dumplings, peas and biscuits. I didn't care for the corn bread. Overall, a good experience and I would highly recommend eating there.

I was with my coworkers. The waitress addressed them as ma'am and sir. She then looks at me and says, "Girlie, what you ordering." My coworkers took offense. I didn't. I am almost 50 years old. Thanks for the compliment! Food was great! Service wasn't.

I used to love this place. Not anymore. You just get rude looks when you walk in the door, from the gaggle of servers sitting in a booth, and one practically rolls her eyes and tells you to go sit anywhere. We had to get our own silverware. The dressing was dry, the coleslaw was terrible, and there was something crunchy in my greens. Nah, we won't be back, sorry to say.

Great pit-stop on the way to the beach. Chicken livers were fantastic, and the portion was good (not massive like some places.) Mac & cheese was great too, and most importantly, they have vinegar with peppers for the turnip greens!

Restaurant is awesome. Pork Ribeye is best item on menu. Very reasonably priced. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Service was great. Highly Recommended.

Today, we got there before the church crowd, thank goodness. Although, we beat the crowd, it took us a while to decide what we wanted to eat. When we finally got the waitress back to.our table to order, our food came quickly. They were kind to add to.more guest to our table when we saw my grandma and her friend come in, but it took a while for them to get a menu and drinks, but their food also came quickly. Once the waitress finally decided to come back, we had already flagged another waitress down to get them some bread, we were almost done eating, so we had already given up on our bread. Then we ended up with 2 baskets of bread. Overall, the food and atmosphere was great and plentiful. The service had a little to be desired.

The place was busy for lunch when we stopped. We got vegetable plates. The mashed potatoes were instant. The rest of the vegetables were average. I asked for cornbread. We got five, quarter sized pieces of fried cornbread. I asked for more. They brought six more. Seriously. Little bits of cornbread no bigger than a quarter. And very few of those. If you like a meat and three, it may be worth your time.
