Spent a lot of time here visiting a resident who lives in condos n one of few who live here. Very nice area for everything. Can gulf, go for hikes, go swimming, play tennis, ski, snow board, criss country ski, down hill ski. The clubhouse is nice to grab a bite to eat but the prices have become ridiculous and in 2015 n new years 2016 the staff at serving was pathetic on new years eve, prices have become a bit much for those of us who were regulars. We had poor service on new years eve so we left by 8 pm. The condos if you own and have a problem like we did with the upstairs condo and a alarm sound or something we heard we could not get a hold of anyone, told security doesn't have keys to get into condos but owner who was called said security had keys, security said they can't just go into condo even if they receive a phone call because can't verify the owner, that is good and bad because we didn't know if the strange loud siunds were frozen pipes, a smoke alarm, some appliance that was shorting out, we could not sleep that night for fear of a fire or burst pipe, it took over 24 hrs to get the problem resolved and the owner to come to the condo after hours of being on the phone trying to locate them, so if a owner of one n a problem in another or a tenant trying to reach a owner of another condo it's ridiculous and not too safe. Security here is useless. They say they drive by every so often and we know they don't because we've never seen one n rare we have so evergreen some one could break in and no one would know. I want to buy a condo here but many down falls but also a nice area to own a condo or be a landlord, condos rent out for about $600 weekend but many condos that rent out get bad reviews and ppl say the owners don't take care of condos and dirty. Some areas where they rent out gets loud and ppl throw garbage on ski area leaving residents to clean up verses ppl cleaning up after themselves. There are bear here so act responsible and don't feed the bears, keep dogs on Leash or make sure they listen if a bear wanders in and we've seen bear during day and at night on golf course. So good and bad here but overall good, but spending a lot of time here with someone who lives here I got to see life of a owner and saw life of those who rent out condos, apt, n townhouses. Come check it out you will enjoy, there is also a very nice campground down the mountain on the other side of the slopes. Many trails for a AT also

I live here currently and it's quite and very beautiful!! Has a bar and grill within walking distance. has 2 pool one in side and one out side same for hot tubes. All in all very nice place!!

The reception hall is very nice with modern amenities. The road going in is not so nice. You almost need a truck or SUV to navigate the potholes. Parking is limited.

We played golf. Tough course. With some care it could be a gem. Needs more attention though at the moment.

If I get another chance, I'll give this rating and review another pass. As it were, Momma Natura was not cooperating as we took a long weekend to visit with family at Bald Knob. Not at all what I pictured in my mind, I admit, before casting a shadow across that beautifully chilled mountaintop. But definitely quaint and reminds of those old New England summer lake, clothing-optional camps. Prolly is in summer all good. Or straight 60s era Dirty Dancing in them Virginia mountains. Where all the owner-families know each other. This is that kinda mountain. Quaint. Campy. Rustic. Terrific pool. Nice people with funny accents. Great communal facilities. Condos are okay and certainly do the trick, but a bit pricey for the privilege. I've stayed in similar accommodation at Stowe and paid less. And Northern Vermont hasn't made a name for being cheap. I rolled up in a snowstorm and the joint was clearly deserted, so I musta missed the memo. The House did work with me a hair on cost due to the lifts being shuttered. All in all, it's too bad we didn't have the opportunity to fully enjoy the mountain. The skiing and tubing logistics seem simple compared to others. We did, however, enjoy good time with family, and a fair hint of snow. Also: The drive up the front and back sides were worth have the price of admission I suspect it was a good thing the one was in pitch darkness and blinding snow. Another day, perhaps.

Good skiing fairly close to Penn State (75-90 minutes away). Cheap student ski pricing on some days. Never stayed here so I can't say anything about the condos.

Arrived at the "restore" at 1am Saturday morning. Room was not clean!
sex toy wrappers, lingerie, water bottles, tags on the floor, microwave and oven were not clean!
they were disgusting with old food all over.
it was very cold in the hallways and very cold in the room.
old windows had a very heavy draft.
TV was extremely small and old.
only 8 inches and could not see it.
also had no internet or cell phone service or a phone in my room.
Honestly expected more high-class from a resort. slept on a prison mattress honestly there are no springs or support and I was in so much pain for the next day I couldn't move!
Security guy was nice and change us over to a different room. There's no evidence that someone else had stayed. still did not make me feel comfortable that it was clean.response / report this review -

Great prices great skiing! This is one of PA's hidden treasures. The only downside is that the lifts are a little slow. It doesn't really matter because the 1,072ft vertical, great prices, and great snow make up for it. Lift operators are usually extremely friendly as well.

Tubing with the family, the employees were hospitable and very nice. It was a great time. We then went to the club house bar and grille for lunch and beverages. Great food and drinks, fun environment.

Best skiing in Pistolvania. They don't really make snow so come at a good time. Best tree skiing in PA, I think they have the only bowl in PA, and Extrovert is probably the coolest most unique slope I've ever seen and I've been all over. Not crowded at all so go here.
