I would rate 3.5 if I could. You can't beat the location and the amenities are great. The staff is friendly but can be a bit more proactive in certain areas. Service requests are handled immediately (on working days) and completely. Apartment sizes and layouts are great but appliances are dated and paint jobs are sloppy. As with any apt. community, mandatory Internet + cable provider (comcast) slows down during peak hours.

I researched this place online and signed a lease wout viewing. I was there for less than a year and it was great. Ken, Toni, Evan, Mar and Ronell were always there for me and my dog! Super dog friendly and my dog loved all the staff and the treats 😁 Such good people and honestly it's what you make of it. I was grateful for quick responses to any maintenance issues. Waterbugs were the most of roaches or rodents I saw (I was on the first floor) and an exterminator was called right over--And I am a very clean person so was happy this didn't become an issue. Awesome access to the beltline and PCM. I relocated and had to leave but miss my Block Lofts family!

Love it. Best beltline apt complex for the price. Affordable. Only down side is crazy dog park. You have to walk through it to access her beltline and no one uses leashes.

I was told about this community by a friend while I was looking for housing for my daughter to get her closer to school. I was blown away at what a great location it was in! As a mom I am very concerned with location and safety, especially with being downtown. The staff was super nice and helpful and really put me at ease which is something I have not found at any of the other in town properties we toured. My daughter loved the access to the Beltline and Ponce City Market and the fact that she could get to school so easily. The price was right on par for the area so the staff and location made all the difference for my daughter and myself. I highly recommend this property and look forward to moving my kiddo in! Kudos to Block Lofts!

DO NOT move here. I lived here in 2012 and TODAY they called me saying I owe them money FROM WHAT I asked and why have I just been notified considering my telephone number has been the same since 2007. I spoke with, "Samara" who provided me with nothing. Besides I can send you a ledger. no how about you tell me what type of business you're running. It's all bogus. Beware

I've lived at Block Lofts for a little over a year now and I absolutely love it. The management staff is very warm, welcoming, professional and do what the can to make you happy. There are tons of amenities and recent upgrades have recently been completed as well. I love that the complex is in O4W and centrally located to VH, Inman park, L5P and our backyard is the beltline. I'm thankful that I ignored previous reviews and came to visit this property last year and sign a lease. As with any apartment complex you have occassional incidents of loud neighbors or running into people that aren't too friendly in the hallway but that's just apartment life. I love that I can call Block Lofts home for now.

I have been living at the Block for a few months now. I must say that I almost didn't look at this place because of some of the online reviews. I'm glad I decided to check it out to see for myself because I really like living here. The management seems to be working hard to keep the place up. (I guess in the past that wasn't the case)There is always some type of improvement being made in the common areas and some to my apt that I didn't even ask for. (Just got new plantation blinds!).Its not perfect but it gets better all the time. If I see something that needs attention the usually management gets on it right away.

One of the best things about the Block is the location. We have a secure gate that goes right to the Atlanta Beltline. I walk just about everywhere except to work on the Beltline (nail salon, Whole foods, Piedmont Park, Starbucks) It is so convenient and it seems to be safe. Full of friendly people. I think the Old 4th Ward is a great place to live and the Block is pretty cool.

I lived at Block Lofts for 7 months. I enjoyed being so close to everything and having a great space to come home to. The rent is pricey, but you also get luxury amenities and again the location cannot be topped. It is convenient to Inman Park, Virginia Highlands, Midtown, and 75/85. One huge plus, the management changed last year and they are very nice people! They will actually take care of you, and do what they said they were going to do. I don't even live there anymore, but I had some problems with my old mail and they were still very nice and communicative about everything.

I really liked the ladies working in the leasing office. They were always nice and cordial. The amenities were pretty good. The pool is a nice salt water pool. The weight room is decent. The recreational room had a pool table, but the felt was torn (may have been fixed by now). The cost of my 1-bedroom was very good back in June of 2009, but I understand that rent has increased since then. They allow pets, and if I had lived next to someone with a barking dog, I probably would be unhappy. The walls are fairly thin, so I could smell the cigarettes my neighbor was smoking occasionally from inside my apartment. Some of the tenants seem like shady characters. In the 8 months that I lived there, I didn't notice any apartment break-ins, but a car in the parking lot was broken into and another truck had its tires and wheels stolen (car was put on cinder blocks). I had an amazing view of downtown and Midtown from my balcony. Loved the floor plan of my apartment. The fixtures and appliances were pretty good inside the apartment. Overall, much much better than the apartment I lived at previously (Alexander on Ponce).
