Beautiful place to visit or stay. The gardens are state of the art and breath taking. Excellent for special celebrations. You can spend all day here and enjoy the day after the estate tour. Make reservations ahead of time, especially for wine tasting. Check their website for tickets. Highly recommended!!!

SO MUCH FUN! I had no idea that things like this excited in the states. This estate is huge and exciting, an absolute blast to walk around. If you’re anywhere near then you will absolutely have to plan a day trip. Come early and explore the grounds, gardens and estate. I loved this and look forward to coming back.

Gorgeous place in a breathtaking location!! Though to be honest, the inside in magnitude was more impressive than outside, though it was still very beautiful. Hard to imagine this estate belonged to just one family. Audio tour is probably the best choice, but it’s a bit more in price. Parking close to the estate is hard to find, especially during busy times, but shuttles worked like a well oiled machine and ran frequently. We actually really enjoyed that ride. A lot of ground to cover so plan on almost a full day at the location.
Spring is blooms time, we went at the beginning of April and it was very busy, though later spring would probably be more full of many more blooms and colors. A lot of trails to walk and choose from.
There’s a cafe right at the estate, seemed popular, but we haven’t tried.

My 8 yo granddaughter, says: The moment she walked into that house she was filled with amazement!!! The "Halloween" room had some of the best paintings, she had ever seen. The bowling alley was so cool! That chandelier was humongous, amazing, out of this world. She especially loved the lady playing the harp in the first room. The red flowers and in the green room beautiful! These are her words not mine.

Very beautiful grounds with a lot of history. Tour is self guided. Audio guide was good to get as it gave some great detail. Felt there was a lot more history that was not on the guide. Winery was nicely laid out. Could easily spend 6 hours here. Best on a fine day to enjoy walking in the gardens.

We took a day trip to the Biltmore. We wore our coats inside. The tour was nice and informative. We walked the route ourselves with the rental audio machines. The place is very big! Lots of walking and stairs. There are some places you're not allowed to go. The restaurant that's in the old horse stable is good, ask for a stall table. The gift shops in the same area are also good. There is wine tasting nearby, on the property, that is good. The whole thing is a bit too big, and after the long drive to get there, we could have spent the night somewhere, but I wouldn't have wanted to spend two days there. When you ask someone for directions and they say "It's on the property.", they don't mean it's nearby. They mean you have to drive to get there. That involves taking a bus back to your car in a parking lot, and then finding your way to the other facility. "The property" extends to the farthest mountain top that you can see in the distance!

It had good parking. Me, my aunts, grandma, grandma and my mom and dad went to see the Biltmore House and it was very good. We all liked it and had fun. We did the tour of the house and it was good. We liked the things that talked about the house and the rooms. All of the staff were good. We went a few times and it looked good for Christmas.

I love the architecture and "grand" feeling of the Biltmore Estate. This was my first tour in 10 years and the first time seeing the Estate decorated for Christmas.
I loved all of the trees throughout the house.
As the leaves are changing and while the Christmas decorations are up are the 2 best times to visit Biltmore.
Also enjoyed the winery! Great tasting Biltmore branded Christmas wines!response / report this review -

We didn't stay on the estate, but we visited two days in a row. The first night, we toured the house (during the candle light Christmas event). WOW! I've never seen such architecture and attention to detail when decorating Mind blowing. The entire tour (when listening to the audio guide) took us two hours.
The second day we returned to view the gardens, village, and winery. We left the winery after trying several types of wine and buying three bottles (The sparkling wine is AMAZING). A bike rental followed the winery, and seeing the grounds from something other than a car is spectacular. We rested by the French Broad River, fed ducks and geese at the lagoon, and enjoyed the scenery of the blue ridge mountains around us.
The highlight of the trip, for me, were the gardens and conservatory. I must've taken 300 pictures of interesting and unique plants housed in the conservatory. When I got home, I actually looked up the names of some of the plants I saw there, ordered them online, and am going to try my hand at raising them once they come in the mail.
This is not an experience I'll forget soon. I enjoyed every moment I spent at the Biltmore.response / report this review -

Took the Christmas candlelight tour in November. It was stunning. The personal audio tour is well worth the extra $11. Lots of history, architecture and art education to be had.
The parking and shuttle systems are well planned, and ticketing in shifts allows only a reasonable number of guests in the house at once.
This is an American icon and it is well preserved. The tour is pretty long but remains interesting for the duration.response / report this review -

All the Staff were very friendly and helpful. When I was a getting a sample in the gift shop, one of the staff stopped samplings and gave me a basket so I put my items in the basket. I thought that was so sweet and very considerate. I even saw other staffers helping theses children whom they we're on a tour from school to help them out to buy items. 😊😊😊👍👍👍

It's gorgeous at Biltmore! I can see why people from all over the country visit it. You can take photographs for personal use. But do NOT use a flash. A couple of people did, a worker noticed, and didn't know who it was, but kindly reminded everyone to not use flash photography. They're all friendly and helpful workers.

Well worth taking the 2-hour tour we took it without an audio guide and was just fine. All the attendants were very cordial and nice. There's so much intricate work to even down to the detail carvings of the doors. It's a must see if you're ready where around this area.

I highly recommend the audio tour. This was our second visit and the audio guide gave us so much information! The house is beautiful but the views are incredible! We rode bikes from the Antler Hill Village and that was very pleasantwe did the lagoon trail. We really enjoyed the blacksmith in the village. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. His work was beautiful and it was neat to see him work! If you've never been, GO!

Although on the expensive side, it was worth it! The hosts were very friendly and helpful! All staff we encountered was extremely knowledgeable about the house! The self-guided tour was enhanced by the audio tour, which was extremely informative and interesting. The children's tour was, in my opinion, even better than the adult one (but don't get me wrong, the adult one was still amazing)! There are amazing views from almost every window, especially while on the rooftop tour, the iconic view from the front lawn is breathtaking. The views of the gorgeous mountain ranges and rolling hills from the main level balcony is amazing! And one of the best parts is even before you get to the house: the driveway! Just an overall amazing experience!

Wow! What an incredible experience. I would do it all over again. The estate is just stunning. Even though it has a fairly high cost of admission, it is definitely worth it. A trip to three Biltmore made my entire vacation! Definitely recommend, especially if you like European style architecture and design.

The cost is pricey, but it hasn't deterred us from going twice in the last 5 years. I absolutely love this Estate! The second time we went, we added in the Upstairs/Downstairs tour to our general admission and we're taken places you don't see on the general tour. Very fascinating! There's also an indoor/outdoor tour we'd like to do! You could really spend an entire day or two between the house, gardens, tours, and hiking. Highly recommended!

Beautiful place. If you're a Costco member some stores sell a two day pass for a great price. You'll want to go two days as there is so much to see. Do not go during peak times as you'll be shuffled through a line of people holding 'cellphone' audio guide tour devices. Beautiful grounds and home. We'll be back for a special event.

I was hesitant to go because of the price, but I'm so glad we went. Plan a full day there to make the most of it. We did the gardens in the morning before it got too hot, then we visited the house. Make sure to grab an audio tour (at an extra cost, so we shared one between us two), it makes the visit fascinating. With the time you have left, head to Antler hill village, it closes later than the house. There, the farm works as a tiny living museum with a blacksmith, a wood worker etc. Finish the day with the free wine tasting (but someone will have to be the designated driver!). You can taste as many wines as you like, and they sell great products. You can also eat at one of the restaurants. The products come straight from the farm!
Regarding the purchase of the tickets, do not choose the will call option because the line to collect them is the same as the one to purchase the tickets, you'll waste time! Print at home and you'll get through the gate straight away. They don't accept tickets on the phone, so make sure you print it!response / report this review -

The Biltmore was fantastic! Unfortunately it rained on the day we went to visit so we did not get to spend as much time there as we would have liked but even still it was astounding. I recommend purchasing the audio tour (We did not and I regret it) and taking the time to spend the day at the house along with the winery and other places on site. I want to also go back and eat there as well. The staff was friendly and helpful as well! Overall, visiting the Biltmore was fantastic and I can't wait to go back. Lots of awesome history!
