Great hill with consistently good winter's compared to Wisconsin and Illinois. Although the lifts are older this is still a great long weekend get away.

Been coming to Big Powderhorn for about 30 years now, first with big trips from our company, now with dad's & kids trips. Big Powderhorn has something for everyone, young to old, singles to family trips. The skiing is best in Midwest, very affordable, and the people who work here are GREAT! Super nice, no attitude, they really appreciate your business. It's beautiful up here when they're getting their annual 300 inches of powder. Lodging is nice, there's a bar at the base, and if you need more excitement, you can always drive 10 minutes into Hurley for the nightlife. Hope to keep coming to BP ski resort for many more years.

My favorite place to ski in Big Snow Country. Sure, Blackjack or Indianhead may have more terrain or longer runs, but the terrain at Indianhead is FUN. Lots of fall lines, lots of twist, turns, rollers, drops, and variations. The snow is always good. Plus, the staff is down-home friendly and the prices are great. They even have a kick-ass bar upstairs in their new chalet that pours $3.50 Keewenaw taps. Winning. I only ski here or Bohemia in Michigan.

This is a moderately good ski area. Not as good as WHITECAP, but the prices are OK, the lifties are nice, and the trails are mostly fun.

I've had a great time every time I have skied here! Its not a mountain resort; but it's great for this small town area! One time, when I skied here in late march, as the snow was melting and the water was gathering in the flats below the trails, a friend and I had a great time water-skiing so to speak, across the temporary ponds. We would get up speed and then go right over the lakes, spraying tons of water the whole way (and getting quite wet in the mean time.)
