We are camping our way back up the Keys to Pensacola, and decided to stay here for 2 nights. We absolutely loved it! We had a hard time finding places open after Irma, but Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge was open and ready to accommodate us. Christa was a big help in getting us set up, and responded very quickly to my email to get our spot reserved.

Overall, the ground are incredibly clean and well kept. The spots in the rustic area are large and easily fit everything we needed. The bathrooms were spotless and the showers were hot. All of the "locals" who stay through the winter were super friendly. We stayed right on the water, and the view was beautiful. There are still plenty of Key Deer wandering through the property, and it was neat to watch them. (I can completely understand why dogs are not allowed, as the deer are small and have free roam, and this is their habitat before it was ours. So before people throw a fit about not being able to bring your pup, please remember this is federally protected habitat land.)

We didn't experience any large parties or noisey neighbors, other than the typical sounds of people enjoying themselves in a fantastic campground! There was a fire that the campground set up every night, and we really enjoyed sitting by it watching the stars.

If we ever make it down to the keys again, we would definitely stay here again. We absolutely loved our stay, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice campground on the water.

We enjoyed staying here very much. My husband and his family used to stay here when he was younger so we decided to return. The property is kept in amazing condition and the staff was always extremely helpful.
The rooms are slightly dated but very clean. Plus the Key Deer walk right past you all throughout the property.

Loved this place. It has everything we need when camping - great store with bait, cheap laundry, pool, good bathrooms, friendly staff, and ice machines. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I've been coming here for decades. Very clean campground with lots of amenities: clean showers, fully stocked store, shade, pool, crafts, hiking trail, and the VIEW!!! Very friendly staff (except Jason who doesn't like math). Can't wait to come back!

Great camp ground. Bath house was always clean and available. Pool was refreshing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our camp site was available on time with power and water and 2 picnic tables. The grounds are beautifully kept and impressive. The deer were fun to encounter. My family enjoyed swimming in the pool, kayaking on the beach and visiting the store for ice cream and snacks. Thanks for the great vacation.

There are clean bathrooms. The staff was friendly. I would give this place a higher rating, however, I expected a little more. I was assuming it was next to a sandy beach. There is a pool and a lodge. The staff allowed me to charge my phone. You will see deer wandering around. It deserves a 5 star rating, I was misinformed about the location. There needs to be more signs to where the location is. The only negative aspect about this location is be prepared to camp next to people. It is a good way to make friends, however, if you are on a romantic get away I suggest somewhere else. And there are no camp fires. Although wood is difficult to find on the site, I would assume they would sell it.

Fantastic Camp site- Very clean, staff and snowbird season stayers were all very friendly. We were there for the "valentine" party which was fun- Just an all around wonderful community and super clean. Store has a good selection for a camp store and longboard beer :) Pool is great- key deer roam, great view of water.

First time camping there. Had a really great time. Everyone was so friendly. Enjoyed the "Roadkill Party" Very clean park with lots of amenities.

An incredible stay. My most favorite. You will love this location because there is no other like it. You can closely experience the sweeping views of vast ocean, dense growth, or the beautifully built lodge all in one. This is the kind of place that makes you want to return to the Keys every year. Key deer will greet you face to face in the morning. Short drive to Key West and plenty to keep you occupied right on the island, one of the biggest in the archipelago.

We LOVED this kind of camping! There were no bugs and such a beautiful scenery! They did a wonderful job catering to our needs and keeping the entire facility very clean! We can't wait to go back!
