While I personally have not availed myself of the educational aspects of BTC, I have referred numerous folk to this facility over my 30 years in the ministry in and around the Pittsburgh area. Young people struggling with 'temptations of easy money on the streets' have found viable vocations thru training at BTC. Older folk stuck in deadend jobs have opened their horizons thru additional training. Offering people the opportunity to expand their cultural and social vistas have found art and music and entire worlds they did not realize existed - all of it at Bidwell. I can't speak highly enough of their dedicated staff, excellent training and top notch caring. And if Bidwell can't help, they will find someone who can. One of the best kept secrets of Pittsburgh - spread the word: Bidwell Training Center.

Culinary program is fast-paced and instructors know what they're teaching. Any other program there is on the same level. Go there for lunch (good bang for your buck) or get a tour.
