Went on a Monday for wing night and was not disappointed. The wings were tasty (was recommended to get them extra crispy), and the beers were reasonably priced.

Stopped in for a drink and some food. Had to get wings due to the hour. They were not my thing. The beer list was pretty limited. No local micro brews? And the real reason for the low review was the clientele. Wow, most of those people should have have been cut off many drinks (and shots) earlier. I assume (hope) they walk to this place. But they were crazy drunk, loud, obnoxious, and annoying. Also, if you only have one person working on wing night, make sure they are washing their hands after touching the raw chicken and then touching my glass to fill my beer. Kind of gross. Maybe this place is much better before 10 pm?

We love Wing Night at BD's. 20 Wings for $13

The service depends on the wait staff that night. One if our personal fav is Tiffany. She's always been professional with just the right amount of personal while working!

As for the wings, they are good but we ALWAYS ask for them to be left in a minute extra for the good crisp. Otherwise they tend to have a bit of soggy to them.
    👌Sauces are made in house.
👌Stout Fries are a must try.
    👌Owner is a Cowboys Fan!

It's def the nicer bar of the two in town.
    Could use a Pool Table.

Better Days is a somewhat dingy bar that serves cheap food and drinks.

There are two other locations with bars on Main Street -- Hamar's (a total dive) and Beef Haus (more of a restaurant than bar). Better Days is the "middle ground" between those two.

I had their wings, which were good (but not great for this region), and are deep-fried in front of you at the bar by the bartenders. There are a variety of different sauces to choose from, I went traditional with the "hot" sauce, which was a standard buffalo sauce. Wings didn't crisp up as much as I generally prefer them, but the sauce was good. No breading, thankfully. I believe breaded wings are verboten in western NY.

The service was a bit spotty, e.g. bartenders forgot to provide me with napkins, and were generally distracted, but it was a busy Thursday evening, so maybe they deserve a little slack? No way! Bad bartending grates on me. If you're a beer-pouring, shot-slinging bartender type who is not able to mix decent cocktails, you should at least be on-point with service.

One other thing about this place that annoyed me were the low/short bar-stools that were not high enough for a man of average height to eat off of the bar top. I literally was eating my basket of wings off of my lap. Go to Better Days and try to eat something at the bar, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

What other options does someone have who is visiting Wellsville? If you've already tried Beef Haus, you're out of luck. This is why I don't think that a visit to Better Days is a bad idea if you're in Wellsville for more than a day. If nothing else, it's an affordable dining and drinking option.
