This is the BEST hotel in Key West! The staff are so kind..very efficient..respectable! They really made us feel like home! The manager Jessica was so caring..goof listener..very down to earth person! And the receptionist..Melissa..was so polite..very good listener and attentive to our needs. The whole staff is something you don't find anymore in hotels. They are all so nice..clean..hard workers. This is the only hotel we will be staying at from now on in Key West..and recommending it to all our friends. The breakfast id like no other that i have seen at a hotel..very good!
My stay at the Best Western Hibiscus in Key West was superlative.
I had never been to Key West before and the staff was extremely helpful in suggesting local activities and points of interest.
Once we arrived we didn’t start our vehicle again until we checked out. The hotel is located just one short block off of Duval Street which has no end of open air dining and entertainment venues. When we did want to explore a little farther afield we rented two reasonably priced bikes from just around the corner and took advantage of Key West’s abundant bike paths.
Overall an exceptional highly recommended get away .
What a wonderful place to stay for me and my boyfriend's first visit to Key West! We were on the island for my best friend's wedding. The grounds were landscaped beautifully and the staff was helpful, efficient and friendly. The breakfast was delicious, the pool area was relaxing and the mint/citrus water daily was refreshing! Our room was huge and always clean! We have already suggested the Hibiscus to many of our friends/family to stay there when they visit the Keys! Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience! Keep up the amazing hospitality!
Upon checking in, I requested a king bed due to a disability. We we’re given a double bed room with a disability shower. Not to mention the ants in the bed. When I called the front desk, the guy told us he would bring our new keys to us. Upon arriving, he demanded to see the ants while we we’re packing up. He never once offered to help us move our things. I was told the first night that they would have a king bed for me the next morning, I asked every morning until I finally moved hotels after I couldn’t take another night in that horrible bed.
Very good experience overall. The rooms were very nicely furnished, we had a fridge and coffee maker. The only thing missing from the room was a table between the two chairs. Plenty of towels and a clean bathroom. The pool area was especially nice with a hot tub and many seating areas, some covered for a more spa experience. The breakfast was very nice with fruits, cereals, waffles, toast, bagels, eggs and meat, even had yogurt.
This is a true gem of a hotel in Key West. It has a great location just a street over from Duval and close to the Southernmost point. The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly which added a lot to our visit. The pool area is the best that we experienced in our 5 weeks of travel. It was very nice to spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool when the heat was the worst. The value for this hotel was great as it was less expensive than many other hotels in Key West and exceeded our expectations in every area. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who stays in Key West.
Location is excellent, walking distance to just about everything and only one block from the Trolley. Room was clean and comfortable, loved having a fridge and microwave. Would definitely stay here again. The only reason I rated a 4 star instead of a 5 was that the free breakfast ran out of hot food well before time to stop serving. There were muffins, and cereal still available though.
What a wonderful hotel in a brilliant location.
The Best Western Hibiscus has everything, easy parking, lovely pool, great breakfasts and rooms that are extremely comfortable.
The hotel experience was wonderful, but even better was the location of the hotel. On Simonton St, with easy access to everything Key West has to offer. A few steps from the Southernmost point of the continental USA, a few blocks from the vibrant life of an amazing island.
We had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Key West for a vacation.
The property is convenient to Duval Street. The rooms are nice size with a microwave, refrigerator and pop corn. They are clean and well kept. The swimming pool and area around it is nice with lounge chairs, tables and chairs and some sort of lounge chairs with pads and canopies over them. I have never seen them before by a swimming pool so I don't know what you call them, but they sure were nice. The breakfast area was small for the number of people who use it. Sometimes, it was hard to get to what you wanted because of people standing in the area waiting for what they wanted. For the price and location, you cannot beat it.
A Key West and USA Today newspaper was available in the breakfast area which was also a nice amenity.
The rooms and location were excellent. It was pricey but it is Key West. The rooms were clean and spacious. It is two blocks from the Southernmost point (photo op, expect a line) and South Beach. It is near Duval St but opposite end of town from where all the tourist flock to (Mallory Square). Breakfast was nice.
Great location and friendly staff. The hotel is a gem! A bit pricey only due to the time that we traveled there in march, but worth every cent. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and spacious. Will definitely recommend this to friends traveling down to the keys. Will be back soon!
Great location on the south end of Key West. Only 1 block from Duval Street & a couple blocks from the beach. Our room was nice & spacious. We spent 3 nights. The pool area was nice and clean, lots of chairs, many cabanas, there was a hot tub although we never used it. Lots of daytime sunshine around the pool area. The evening front desk was very friendly but the daytime front desk never really spoke & seemed unhappy (I mean, you are in Key West, what is there to be unhappy about right?). The breakfast had nice variety and was a bit different each morning.(remember it is included and to buy breakfast in a restaurant you are going to shell out about $40 for 2 people!) We met several people around the pool area as we spent most of one day hanging out; a couple were there for a family wedding & mentioned other family members were envious of our hotel compared to theirs!!!!! We will stay here again!
This place is a gem.. location is fantastic at the Southern end of Key West.. but one block away from Duval.. we had a king room and it was huge and clean and comfy.. two sinks and great seating area to chill.. nicely appointed with all the amenities you could ask for.. the pool area was absolutely gorgeous..only thing missing was an adult beverage station for me :) Breakfast in the AM was a nice spread.. they help you make your own waffles.. This was a great choice for my overnight stay in Key West.. would def return..overall I was not surprised I love the Best Western Chain..
Wonderful experience. Right around the corner from the Southernmost point. Quiet area about a mile from Mallory Square. Ivan at the front desk is so courteous, friendly and helpful. Shelly-Ann, the breakfast area attendant was polite, efficient and very helpful to anyone who needed assistance. Motel is very clean. Pool area is clean with options for sun or shade. Hot tub a nice treat in the evening after a full day of sightseeing. First time visit, but certainly will not be the last. Definitely more than a 2-star facility.
