Had a great experience at this shop! The repair prices are more than fair and I really appreciate that Brent took the time to sit with me and come up with a cost effective solution to fix my '71 Schwinn Varsity. My bike is now riding great! I will be returning to Ben's for all future tune-ups and repairs.
Great service, friendly staff, always does a good job with whatever you need done to your bike. Neat little shop; sometimes there's a super friendly black cat that hangs around the front door.
Very down to earth people. I was between two shops and was down to deciding between two hybrid bikes from each shop. Then I tried a different type from the other shop and ended up going with it. But the reason I'm writing this is more due to the customer service rather than products. Brent was very helpful and relaxed — it didn't feel like I was dealing with a bike salesman. I felt like he wanted me to get the best out of my investment, whether that was from them or the other shop. I would definitely recommend going to Ben's first and asking their opinions because they're very nice and have a lot of knowledge to offer.
I was immediately welcomed by Brent, within an hour of close. I had my bike quoted at $195 in repairs by another LBS. Brent assessed what I "thought" was wrong, then recommended that I ignore those repairs for now because (1) they did not need repair, and (2) offered no performance/safety benefit. He explained his recommendations in-depth, in a way this novice cyclist could understand.
I ended up paying $45 instead, and it was repaired by the next day. This is the kind of service you want, at affordable prices.
The people working in the shop are very friendly and well informed, while the shop itself offers a great choice of bikes and bike accessories. It was recommended to me and I was satisfied with the service.
Great people and service. Highly recommend these folks.
