Very unprofessional.
To anyone thinking about attending this school who is in pursuit of making a better life for themselves. DON'T!!!! I Repeat please don't do it! This school only cares about money. Not your time or effort.
I am an English speaker, and when I enrolled for the school I was told that there were English and Spanish classes. Upon my first day of attendance, I quickly learned that wasn't the case. The teacher spoke Spanish the majority of the class and expected me to understand what he was saying half the time, constantly asking me, "You understand a little Spanish right?" . No. My answer was always no. Yet I feel like my Spanish speaking pupils received more information than I. I never knew what he was talking about. After I finished the first half of my course I moved on to skin care hoping it would be a little different. It was not. Not even a little bit! The teacher there speaks even more Spanish and at this point everything I'm learning is because I taught myself. Even in my massage program, i taught myself. I had no choice, and because of that I feel like I'm seriously lacking in information. After my first course I said enough was enough and tried to drop the second course, but they told me I couldn't, even though I should've brought this up with the board of education and gotten out before starting the course. I can definitely see why some people would attend this school. As for people who take their time and lives a little more seriously, please for the love of God do not enroll here.
You are also required to purchase a majority of your own supplies. So even though you are paying almost 20,000$ a course, you only get a few VERY CHEAP supplies and a super uncomfortable uniform. Which I never wear because It literally feels liken it was made in China. The staff there can also be extremely rude no matter how polite you are to them. They make every question seem like a fight and get very defensive. Even when you're asking for something as simple as a bus pass that your financial aid covers for you. They will also make you wait forever just to be seen. As if they aren't just sitting in their office doing nothing. I've actually seen them do it before.
Like I said before. If you are an English speaking student please don't come here. This school was not made for English. It could not have been. You will be left feeling uneducated and isolated. Almost as if because you don't speak Spanish, you aren't permitted to learn. I know this is a lengthy review. But I hope people see this and heed my warning. I want everyone to have an in depth understanding of what they're going into. It's overpriced, pretentious, full of people aren't there to help you. Very unprofessional establishment.
It's pretty good and you can't beat their prices!
I waited a little while but it was worth. Great service. I loved it! !!!
There is not 1 thing I like about this school. It is completely UNORGANIZED. No one is ever on time. That goes for staff, teachers and students. Class is supposed to start at 8:30am and they don't begin till about 9:15am. If it's not the Spanish teacher calling out its the English teacher calling out. So u always have your class mixed with English and Spanish students therefore you dont progress. IF and WHEN the teacher begins in the book it only lasts a paragraph before the students start talking about other things and the teacher will entertain their never ending questions and conversations. I transferred from hialeah and I regret it. I wish j can go back to hialeah. They are the best campus. But since I moved I will never make it to school on time.
My friend is taking classes at the north miami beach campus and after everything she's told me about it, I wouldn't recommend anyone enrolling in this crappy school/campus. They constantly changing teachers, the hours are uncontrolled to the point where she doesn't even know how many she has done, nor does the school, but they are still happy to sign for her hours because they only care about her money. She can't practice hair color nor highlights because they are short on supplies or not allowed to use. When she began she started in 2nd and 3rd level classes because no one even knew what level she belonged to until one day someone decided to ask her and everything got clarified that she had been in more advanced classes all along. My friend doesn't speak much english, that's why she has failed to complain about all these issues, and at some point she was really concerned about the theory part since she wouldn't understand, but they don't care somehow she is still taking classes. She has missed many classes now because the only teacher she valued being a good one, left, and in comparison the rest are a joke. My recommendation, don't enroll here and just try community colleges
Please see all information before enrolling. I attended for only 4 months and could not continue due to personal reasons and not only do I have to pay 3345.00 for the student loan that they kept but an additional 6700.00 for attending. I am very displeased that they are charging so much for attending such short period of time. Also as a previous student be weary of getting any services done they are not very hygienic and let you do a service on someone with out proper supervision and or dirty tools. I got several services and got an infection on a nail lost an eyebrow while waxing and got my hair burnt while getting it blow dried. lol and still have to pay a massive amount of money with out a license to speak off. Please if you are young and think this might not be for you consult it very well before taking this massive step. Unfortunately they where quick to sign me up and I didn't do proper investigation on this matter and now I am paying for it greatly :(
