Vegan plate for two is delicious and filling, even for your meat eating friends. Lamb is also incredible. Great date spot.
Arguably the best Ethiopian restaurant in New York City
Totally loved the atmosphere and the coffee was awesome. It will be my regular dinner place on Sundays.
Veggie combo was great and the service excellent. Warm and friendly staff!
Amazing food, warm service. The vegan combo is the way to go, but next time I may just get the mushroom tibs, which sounds divine too.
Fresh and tasty. Great romantic date spot.
Portions were small compared to what I'm used to at Ethiopian
The missir wett is so good - get the vegetarian combination with that and 3 others (also great: the buticha and key sir).
Great food, but the coffee and baklava are outstanding
The combination platter
Delicious food. Came here on a wonderful, albeit messy date - what's more romantic than using your hands to stuff your face with delicious injera and doro wett (bread & chicken stew)?
Platters are big enough for two people to share comfortably.
Fantastic food. Slow service. Worth the wait if you are down to linger around but definitely not a pre-show dinner spot.
The St. George beer is fantastic.
The vegetable combo is addictive. I somehow end up at Bati every week.
the veggie combo is great and for u extra spicy lovers, ask for awaze sauce on the side. ;0)
Taste - Ya beg alicha; FasoliaIn addition to individual lamb and beef entrées, there are meat and vegetarian combos ideal for sharing.
Doro Wat was pretty good, but the Bati Tibs were brilliant! Awesome food. Very helpful service too (recommendations etc).
Bati’s injera is the real thing, dusky in color and springy to the touch. Whole hard-boiled eggs pop up like Cracker Jack prizes in the doro wett, a chicken stew.
By way of a heads up: Bati is no longer BYOB - they now have beer and wine.
