My father Dennis Bates ran this funeral home for over 40 years. Noone knew the meaning of the word "service" like him. I worked funerals with him during my high school and college years and saw his extremely high standards and dedication first hand. When he died we called the Mitchell family who now own it. Dad always spoke very highly of them but I've always thought that noone could measure up to dad. The Mitchell's did. They couldn't have been any better. Dads former funeral home is in good hands. Highly recommend them.

I cannot thank Josh Mitchell enough for the care and concern he showed for my family when my husband passed away. He explained all the things we needed to work out and offered suggestions when we were at a loss. His calm presence helped make a very difficult time a bit easier. Because of his attention to detail, we were able to get through a very difficult time. The military honors service was a wonderful tribute. Thank you Josh for your support.

David Mitchell was very helpful, kind, and professional. He followed my family member's preplanning wishes, including bringing her out of state for burial, and helped us create a video tribute that reflected her interests. He even offered to bring many of her personal belongings along which helped us tremendously. If we still lived in NY we would use his services again.
