Great food and atmosphere, service could have been a bit better. Visited Boscom's for the first time for a company holiday luncheon. Although the place was very busy, it still felt intimate. The lobster bisque was delicious. The service could have been slightly better. The server kept interrupting us when we were ordering and would not listen to our requests very attentively. Parking was challenging, but it is the holidays.
Had a very nice Christmas luncheon with my quilting group. The service and food was excellent. I had a fillet that was done perfect. I will be back.
Micheal our server was rude, obnoxious and very rushed. Salad was great would have been better with cracked pepper which or table never got. Steak was over cooked, I waited for Michael to come back to the table, everyone was done eating before a manager came by, he proceeded to explain why the steak was over cooked. He took my partially
Eaten steak away no didn't want another. checks came out and received a small discount. Plus a 20%gratuity. No did not pay the gratis. Very disappointed.
We take our clients here frequently for lunch and dinner. They have an amazing grouper dish and outstanding steaks. Service is usually spot on (although have had a couple of abrupt bar tenders who seemed a bit lack-luster). The lobster bisque is delicious!!!! The wine list is good, too. Make sure to get the Bascom's salad. Definitely not cheap, but usually very worth it!
Very nice elegant restaurant. Was there for lunch. The atmosphere is very nice. The servers were all neatly dressed and personable.Tables are covered in white linens as napkins. Really nice menu. Something for everyone. A little pricey. But the food is awesome. I had the fresh catch special which was Grouper Oscar on a bed of rice pilaf. The Grouper came from Madeira Beach so it was very fresh. It was also cooked to perfection as was the rice and asparagus. Since I eat a lot of fish I can really say this was the best Grouper I've had so far. My friend had the 10 ounce prime rib which came with mashed potatoes and onion straws. The prime rib was very tender. Salad was extra. I definitely would go back to this restaurant.
Great food and excellent liquor selection. at least in the private dining area up stairs. The downstairs portion is nice as well but definitely more of a loud atmosphere at night compared to upstairs.
I have been a few steak house in my life time, some in New York, some in Boston & a few in Tampa. This steak house is really nice from the hosting to actually served. The team worked together seamlessly. The wonderful server who is in her late 50s was so wonderful and she loved what she does. The steak was juicy, flavorful & the portion is bigger than we expected. Next time, we will share one serving instead of 2. Be Back
After our first experience at Bascom's, I can honestly say I have no complaints. The service is excellent and able to explain the wines, steaks and desserts if need be. Our particular server was never pushy, which I appreciated. We ordered glasses of wine and he never pushed us towards a bottle, for example. A lot of restaurants do that. The each had a soup, lobster bisque for me and french onion for him. We loved them both. For entrees, the two of us created our own surf and turf - we split a 12 oz filet and shared the crab cake meal. Both were delicious - the steak especially good and perfectly cooked (medium rare). At the end of the meal, we were stuffed, but wanted the whole experience so we took the torte home. That was rich and very good.
We signed up for the rewards program. We will be back when we want a fine meal.
Exquisite! Very pricey, but if you want to treat yourself to some of the areas finest cuisine, it is highly recommended. Have been here at least a half dozen times and never disappointed. Excellent seafood, chops, and steaks. The lobster bisque is out of this world. A large wine list with domestic as well as international choices from some award winning wineries. Succulent desserts and superb coffee compliments a fine dining experience.
5 star food and 5 star service! Great selection of dishes everyday and additional daily specials, including local seafood. You can't go wrong here.
Very hospitable and accomodating. It was late on Saturday and there were 10 of us including 7 under 16 years of age. Excellent service.
First time here.you can get escargot, lobster bisque and a filet w/ garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus anywhere these days, but you can not get it THIS good just anywhere. Perfectly cooked, and seasoned and very good quality!! Our highest rating. Thank you, Michael, our bartender, and the rest of the staff.
Took the family out for a nice meal. Service was terrible. Very slow, we were there for three hours with long waits to order, to receive our food. We had to use our bread plates for our appetizers and then they were removed. They finally got replaced well after our dinner was served. We were abandoned and ignored. The food was okay. We had prime ribs and shrimp and grits. If this restaurant is assigning wait staff to tables in different rooms, it is not working out for the customers. One of the worst dining experiences in the last eight months we've been in Florida.
I had reviewed this place previously but cannot find it anywhere so I am taking a shot in the dark here and trying to remember what it was that I said in the review that has mysteriously gone away. Anyhow, my husband and I went to Bascom's for our anniversary dinner November 2016 and the experience was a plus for the most part. We were sat quickly next to a beautiful fish aquarium and my prime rib was delicious but my husband's was not. He never complains and I kept asking him if he wanted to order something else and he responded, "no, I'll just choke this down". The server took our plates away before we were done, too, which was strange. Honestly, I don't remember anything else so I'll close for now.
