I just LOVE George Barber!
Meeting him and getting pictures made was my highlight. Honored to have met such a brilliant man and he also was a past motorcycle racer.
The museum is the best in North Alabama. Tell them Lady Biker sent ya!
Gift shop has awesome T-shirts and a nice cookbook !
This is a wonderful Museum dedicated to the history of motored vehicles and you can see the care their restoration team put into every vehicle. It's great to take family members who love cars and motorcycles or who love the sport of racing. The displays are fantastic!
More than you can take in. Amazing cycles and cars plus memorabilia. Amazing building able to host events and it even has a small theater.
If you can get the basement tour, do so. There is so much more to see down there.
The views of the track from the museum are fantastic too. It is a great way to beat the heat and still get to watch the track activities.
An amazing stop!! My family and I stopped here for about two hours just shortly after driving through Birmingham. As we walked in and looked around, we were in awe. Cars and motorcycles of every kind lined up five floors high A real shock factor for anyone who's ever came in here. Several historical displays , including Lotus' Mark VI, Harley Davidson's military motorcycle displays, as well as Harley Davidson's Model 5-D, their first V-twin engine. Worth the visit; we could've easily spent the whole day there!! Here's a picture of their "motorcycle Christmas tree" as we called it!!
This is one place you must see if you're a motorcycle enthusiast. If you're driving through and are even somewhere close, don't pass it up. It's amazing and has motorcycles from the beginning to some fairly current. Custom made, dirt bikes, street bikes, drag bikes, mini bikes, the list goes on. Too many to mention.
World class museum for motorcycles (old and new) and F1 cars. Amazing place. Plan at least half a day to see everything. I prefer a full day.
Lovely place for a good history lesson in moterbikes, also a fair bit of race car history too. Also has a race track out back where you can either watch bikes go round the track, or drive around yourself. Highly recommend if you're a bike or racing fanatic, very friendly staff as well!!!
I"d Recommend this place to anyone that's a race enthusiast. There's 5 stories of awesome bikes and cars. The turn 9 membership is worth it if you are interested into restoring vehicles as it includes seminars on restoring.
Amazing museum! Probably the best collection of new, vintage, and racing motorcycles in the country. The overall design and aesthetic is fantastic. My only recommendation would be that the tour be longer; even 2 hours was not enough for the guide to talk about all the important pieces. Top 10 in places I have ever visited.

I'm going to be honest. I don't care about motorcycles at all. My husband does so we came.
Regardless this is a gorgeous place. The building, the grounds, the displays. Very well done and beautiful. The creativity and scale of the displays is really cool.
Didn't think I would enjoy this museum as much as I did. Plenty of great looking vehicles over the history. Awesome for any motor sport enthusiasts or family. Military friendly.
Beautiful facility and it is massive so lots to see.
Be aware this is mostly a motorcycle collection with only a few vehicles by comparison. I'm not a Moto guy so I was let down but that's just because I thought it would be more cars.
If you like motorcycles it's a must-see.
I reckon any motorcycle enthusiast could die happy after visiting this - apparently the largest motorcycle museum in the world?
Walking around I just found myself going 'Oh my God' and (expletive deleted) constantly as I came upon another and another perfect best ever example of a bike I lusted after in my younger daze - I think I only counted maybe 6 Vincents including a Black Lighting exact replica - but. most Americans didn't linger there - they were more interested in the complete history of Harley Davidson and Indian in perfect examples.
Suffice to say - if you like motorbikes, you Really want to come here!
Other stuff - oh - the complete set of racing Lotus cars - world champion Formula 1 cars - I thought I even glimpsed one of those rarest $25M Ferraris - so yeah stuff to look at - (groan)!!!
This is a must stop destination!!! You will not be disappointed!!! Beautiful exhibitsjust an unbelievably AMAZING vintage motorcycle collection. 5 floors of one of a kind eye candy❤ We will be back again soon!
Excellent facilities, beautiful landscaping and scenery, and a very safe track (even for children). My family has been going to the track for more years than I can count (sport bike racing) and have never been disappointed!! Great place to camp and enjoy the events. The museum is like no other and is well worth the money. This is a place that no matter what the event you may be attending or for whatever reason, you will not be disappointed in any way! Mr Barber really out did himself and all of the staff are more than kind, courteous, and helpful. Enjoy.
