My stepdad entered The Reserve two weeks ago. We were expecting him to be extremely angry as he never wanted to leave his home. The workers there are nothing short of amazing! They immediately gave him a name tag with the title “Hospitality Assistant” and he was off to work! Their program aligned him with tasks that he can perform; he has a purpose every day and absolutely loves what he is doing (setting tables, pushing others, helping with the crafts setup, etc). He loves the staff, the place, the activities, and the food….he’s told me more than once that “this place is top notch.” Our family could not be more pleased with how he is acclimating due to the treatment he is receiving from all the workers. We feel blessed that they had an opening and pray his happiness continues. (I’ll update this review in a few months after more time there.)

I have been an employee at The Reserve at Georgetown for six years and and it is the most wonderful community I have ever worked in. I started as a medication Tech and over time I was promoted to Activity Director. We have the most amazing care staff and I like to refer our Management Team as "The Dream Team!" We are all like family, and I am so blessed to be a part of this amazing community!

Our sweet mother was cared for by The Reserve for many years and we are so grateful for the compassionate care she received. The number of staff that it takes to meet the needs of residents is considerable and we were delighted at the warm relationships built from the personnel at this facility with our mother. I have memories of a variety of staff members across the building helping her with a need, providing a hug or a smile, showing kindness and love, respecting her personal preferences, understanding her facial expressions or loss of words, letting her visit their work space, painting her fingernails, providing her with snacks, keeping her hands busy, helping her with movement issues, etc. The friendly staff was a huge reason our mother was content.

The community atmosphere at The Reserve, with other residents around her dealing with similar issues, also helped our mother not feel so alone in the progression of dementia. She developed friendships with other residents and was able to spend time with others in a safe and caring place that met her daily needs.

Our mom especially enjoyed music at The Reserve whether it was special musical presentations and guests or music playing in the living areas. She appreciated the coffee table books on a variety of subjects with lots of pictures, and the pillows on the furniture. Our mother loved looking at the outdoor spaces or walking around the courtyards. She was comforted by holding baby dolls and feeling useful.

She was blessed by friendly staff to watchcare over her, a beautiful space to live, other residents to do life with, and fun activities and entertainment to give meaning to the days of her life. We are grateful for The Reserve and the respect and value they expressed in the care of our mom.
