Everyone in our party of 6 had a stellar time. Top-notch beer list, a mix of styles, both local and world-class, drafts and bottles, all served well. Great pub food, classics done well, some nice twists. I was pleased to seem a house-made veggie burger and wish this was more prevalent.

Pleasant, friendly, attentive service. Even Steve, the front of house manager was a rip. Stop by and give BACKSTAGE a try. We'll definitely be back!

One of my favorite beer bars / restaurants in CT. Always a great tap list, with small pours available so you can try multiple beers without being overwhelmed mentally (and alcoholically - OK, I just made up that word.)

Nice burgers, love the turkey BLT. Regular fries very good, sweet potato fries not as exciting - and what's with the sauce that comes with them? Way too sweet!

They don't promote happy hour or specials very well at the restaurant, so get on the email list. Ask about the happy hour bar bites - best deal there (might be at the bar only?)

Draft list gets most serious update every Thursday, usually with a partial tap takeover of a style or particular brewery, often somebody new to CT.

I have a very big service dog and they happily brought my guy water with ice in a dog bowl! The staff wss very acomidating!! Great experience.

Great place for all kinds of people. They always have 40 beers on tap and it's always changing up depending on the season. They give you a sheet with all the beer where they are from the % and what category they fall into. Burgers are AMAZING and so is the Philly cheese steak. Great people and great service. Highly highly recommended

Decent food, awful service

I have been here many times- service has been unbelievably slow most of the time- over an hour wait for food, cold fries, orders not made properly. Lots of staff running around and nothing seeming to get done. pretty disappointed; nice place in a nice spot with an awesome beer list.

Bottom line- enjoy a drink (if it ever makes it to your table) and don't come hungry.

Backstage never ceases to impress me. Their menu changes season to season so you don't get the same menu year round. Their food is absolutely delicious and made with good quality ingredients, some of which is local. Their cocktails are also perfectly made. The staff is always welcoming and very patient. I have never had a problem here.

Food OK, but over rated.. Waitstaff was not really nice actually they made fun of my daughter.. and yes I still gave a tip.. I also let the waitress know I eat at restaurants and wait them for Google, this waitress must really not care about the restaurant she works for because of her arrogance towards the customer. I would have given a higher mark Backstage, and perhaps the person who oversees the wait staff should pay more attention to how this waitress treats the paying customer Other then that food was alright not extravagant but alright

Food is good but as a gluten free eater it's not easy, options are few and far between. For a bar it's awesome, do a restaurant it's a little too wide open, lacks coziness. Open later for dinner than most places in the NWCT area so it's great for late night dinner. Beer selections looks awesome (can't drink it anymore) great wines.
