Went to a beautiful informal wedding on the third floor, it was beautiful. It was a little tight, there were more guests than tables which made it a little uncomfortable. The h'orderves line was very long and slow moving. It should have been broken up into some smaller tables that could be accessed on both sides. The bartenders were great and the staff friendly so all in all a very beautiful memorable affair.

Played for a wedding here on the roof top. Very professional staff. Great views and atmosphere. Great management.

Avenue has been a favorite restaurant since it first opened. My friend and I usually go for the prix fixe menu for an early week night dinner before we walk the boardwalk. Last time we went the place was empty yet they escorted us to a tiny table between the wait staff station and a door that went out to the deck. We were cramped and the station was messy and not very nice to have as a view at an oceanfront restaurant. Plus the wait staff had to go by us to get to the outside tables through the door that was next to our table. Why would they even have a table there? We asked for another table which they didn't hesitate to give us. We got our usual prix fixe menu and the price had gone up to $32.50 and the price of wine must have gone up too because our outing cost us each about $70 including the tip. Although we really like the place we just didn't think the meal/experience was worth the price so decided no more Avenue for us.

Good service but food are very expensive. I order salmon which was 38 dollars, nothing comes with it it's just a little piece of salmon. I ordered a salad to eat with it that was an additional 13 dollars. The food doesn't taste good at all you have to add your own salt. If you want yo impress somebody take them on a date, but if you want to eat and you like goid food go somewhere else. Our bill was 150 we only order 3 things , oh and a bottle of water is 8 dollars there😂.

Don't wast your time. The place is beautiful with a very pleasant view by the water but that's it! Maybe a nice place to have some drinks BUT NOT for dinner. The chicken Milanese I ordered which was the day special was very dried. Honestly, just like fried finger chicken from a fast food place or diner. Actually those place would had it done better. I also got a grilled cheese sandwich for my kids and it was dried as well. Impossible to eat. I was very disappointed. The service was very poor too. I don't recommend. The area has a lot of good restaurants so don't wast your time or money.

Arrived promptly for reservation at 5pm on a Thursday and left to wait 10+ min while 3 hostesses struggled where to seat us in a vastly empty restaurant. There was only one other party of 4 in the whole place and every table I requested, I was told " NO, there's someone there"! (Invisible people I guess). When you have to play musical chairs and made to feel like an idiot by an obnoxious 20 year old carrying menus, you know it's time to go elsewhere. It's a shame because if the meet and greet was better *and more professional* at the front, there would probably be more people in the restaurant!

My girlfriend and I went there to celebrate our anniversary. We are younger in our 20s and clearly the management/servers did not respect that. They were under the impression that we would not tip well or something because our waitress was such a nasty person. She came by maybe once after we ordered our food, forgot to bring drinks and it wasn't even crowded it was 6:30pm on a Tuesday. The manager went by all of the tables with the older folks, did not even come by our table to ask how we were doing. I don't understand that logic. As a manager of a high class restaurant, you should respect all of your customers. Just because we are young, does not mean we are invisible. We have the money to pay for nice ambience and dining, both of which we failed to receive at this restaurant. You are receiving 1 star since I cannot give you 0 stars. Try changing your manager and recycling your servers for more personable and friendly ones Cheers to the New years, hopefully you can all learn better people skills.

I live in Pier Village and I have gone to this place plenty of times, the ambience is cool I guess because it is right on the beach but holy crap the people that work there are such assholes.
Went there last night, entered the building and took the elevator to the third floor. I had no idea there was a wedding going on up there but some bouncer sure thought my date and I should have known. He charged us like a gorilla and made his best attempt to belittle us as we got off the elevator all because we didn't know we weren't supposed to be on that floor. I explained to him that he didn't need to be such a jerk about it and he actually entered elevator and got up in my face, the door closed behind him and it became apparent that this guy was unstable. My stance became defensive and I prepared for him to throw his fist into my face because it just seemed like that was about to happen. It didn't and I remain unscathed but this experience will cancel all my future thoughts of visiting this establishment.response / report this review -

Despite all the other reviewers complaints, my wife and 13 year old child still decided to go, and we could not have had a better experience! At first we were told that our original table was double booked, but the GM Terri was friendly enough to move us to a table on the water! Food was fantastic, and the servers took care of our every need. We will definitely go back!

We recently held my daughter's Briday Shower Brunch at Avenue. The atmosphere was excellent, the staff/service, right down to the valet parking attendants was impeccable, and the food/portions/pricing was outstanding. Everyone had a wonderful time and I would highly recommend this restaurant. The added plus being the beautiful beach and ocean views!

One of the worst dining experiences I have had. I heard that this restaurant was upscale and has great food sadly this was not the case when I went. My girlfriend ordered the wild caught salmon but kindly asked for no corn saffron sauce due to a corn allergy. When her plate came out the salmon was pretty much burnt and way overcooked and on top of that there was corn on her plate. She kindly asked the waiter to take the dish back and he said a new one would be out shortly. Everyone at the table was finished with their meals before hers came out. And when it did finally come out it there was the corn saffron sauce all over it and again more corn bits. My girlfriend told the waiter she was allergic to corn several times and again could not eat the meal and sent it back to not eat dinner at all. The staff was very rude while there and never sent out the manager to apologize about the bad service. Not worth the money. Poorly run and very snoody pretentious staff.
