Color Service WAS TERRIBLE in overall execution.
This is a teaching establishment - great, I requested an all-over color.
Now, if I can give you any warning - here it is - the shampoo bowls are THE WORST! They are several inches higher then they should be. You cannot recline into them at any angle that will get the dye out of your hair. The water pressure is low. Stylist tried to get color out with dry shampoo and a gesture towards the hairline around your face. I thought she was doing a good jobuntil I was passed off to another student and saw what happened:
(1) my hair color was never rinsed from my hair - as the teacher walked over I had put my glasses on and was scrubbing color from my face and ears. Instructor commented how beautiful my hair color was - all I thought was how unacceptable it was that I was not rinsed. Not to mention that I had color all over my skin and ears - the students did not even see it or notice that it should be removed.
(2) upon looking at my hair line, it was full of dye that was dripping onto my skin. I went to a store and purchased baby wipes because I had six hours before I was going home and could shampoo - the baby wipes wiped the dye off my scalpand face..and everywhereand when the dye the stylist left inevitably dripped, I had to grab a baby wipe from my purse to deal. Finally when home that evening, I shampooed my hair another four times before the dye finally was off my scalp. For me, the all-over color basics are this - apply dye then remove dye.response / report this review -

Nice hair cuts. DO NOT let them bleach your hair. I paid $55 for a double process color, then had to argue with them to not charge me to tone it down. It still looks horrible after they toned it twice. Complete disaster.

Great atmosphere, the prices are very reasonable, I got a deep tissue massage and walked out feeling amazing, I definitely recommend this place for deep tissue massages, instructor is always there which is great.

Find a hair stylist you like and enjoy the service. Great place offers tea or coffee upon your arrival!

I just went there to get a haircut and I thought it was wonderful. I don't know if any place that you can get that service for that price. You are getting it done by a student but the instructors are always around to help out. Plan for it to take a while because the students are learning but they are friendly and professional so conversations will be easy. I will be back! I had Sasha as my hair dresser and Claire was her instructor and both are great to work with.

The students are very friendly and mostly proficient, I have always been happy with the quality of my service here, but beware, even haircuts here will take about 3 times as long as anywhere else. I once went in for a 'quick' cut and it took 3 hours (my usual stylist does it in 20 min). A cut and color has taken in the past around 6 hours (my usual stylist does it in about 2.5). The prices are agreeable and the services and atmosphere meets the quality you would expect from and Aveda salon, but just make sure you haven't scheduled anything after your appointment!

Consistently great experiences, I go there regularly to get my hair cut, gotten hair colored and highlighted a couple times, had a facial and manicure there as well. even went there to get hair and makeup done on my wedding day. Very nice and professional!
