I was invited here by friends who rent out a boat slip. The marina has ample area to host events and it has a playground to keep the kids occupied. There is a small beach as well, but it is quite dirty. The building facilities here were very clean though. The staff was extremely friendly.

Bottom line up front, this is a great affordable marina, in a great location, with great staff that will do everything they can to make you feel welcome.
When I moved to Atlantic Marina Resort, my only major concern was the massive amount of boats kept in their boatel storage. I only ever visited during the off season, so I was afraid there could be major back logs trying to put in and take out. So far, those fears have been completely assuaged. Even during what I would think would be their busiest times, there has never been a mad rush of people trying to get put in the water, and the dock hands/lift operators are extremely efficient. There are also plenty of lift wells to tie up in if the lift operator starts getting backed up.
As a newbie in the powerboat world, the staff have been entirely welcoming, inclusive, and patient as I learn the ropes. I'm coming from another local marina that I left in part because they made me feel like an outsider to their good old boy's club of which I would never be a member (so much so, that they always referred to me as 'that guy that bought Tim's boat').
The location leaves little to be desired. Because it's in a protected cove directly on the Patapsco, there's no putting around in a 6 knot zone for 20 minutes before reaching the open water, and the Bay is no more than a 10 minute cruise away. Baltimore's inner harbor is only about 45 minutes away.
They house an on-sight mechanic that so far I have been pleased with (he's also a mobile mechanic, so during his busy seasons you might have a few week lead time), but the marina management seems to maintain good working relationships with many of the mechanics and dealerships in the area.
The marina offers in water and lift slips high and dry rack storage, and ground storage in the yard if you want 24/7 access to your boat, all at competitive annual rates. The yard is closed on Tuesdays so Boatel users won't be able to have their boats launched or retrieved on those days, but they are happy to drop you in the night before, or take you out of the water the morning after you get back.
I can't comment too much about the other amenities at the marina such as the beach, pool, and bath houses (the bath houses were recently renovated and are kept very clean) because I have made much use of them, but what I've seen, they are all well maintained.
