Always love the food here. They also hibachi bar that is great. Buffet style eating also. Can eat as much as you want for one cheap price. For dinner they also have sirloin steak you can get..no additional price.
Usually get seated right away. Wide selection on food bar. Also Japanese hibachi grill where you choose your meat/veggies and have it prepared right in front of you. Can't go wrong here for good Chinese and Japanese food. No Thai, Indian, or other Asian cuisine, so change the name.
This place as gone downhill by a mile since jack sold it. I used to get my lunch to go here regularly, always had good food and always nice and hot, like a hot bar should be. Well, since the new owner has taken over I've been back a few times, each trip more disappointing than the last. Well today was the last trip. I went in and made a hibachi plate to go, the grill says always open, I stood there for over 5 minutes without being acknowledged by the staff, so I left my plate and got food from the hot bar. When I got back to my desk (literally less than 2 minutes from when I bought this food) I found my wontons still cold in the middle, the pepper chicken taste funny and the honey chicken they started serving since jack left is horrid. As if that wasn't enough, while I waited, again, at the counter I saw the new owner pick up a plate someone had set down and start putting the food back into the trays on the bar. The trip before this as I left I looked over and saw a rat the size of my dog coming out of the dumpster in broad daylight. If you want hibachi save yourself the time disappointment and food poisoning and just drive to Pikeville or kingsport. The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 is because I'm not sick, yet.
I ordered Chicken fried rice to go for one - the lady at front did not tell options of price or size or mention that the whole buffet was only $ .19 more than what she was going to charge me for this. She charged me $ 7.30. The buffet is $ 7.49. This was a late lunch time on a Tuesday. They were not busy. I waited a considerable time for this order to be brought out. The "chicken" in the fried rice was not edible. It was either raw or just chicken skin or chicken fat. I returned it to get my money back. I asked to see the manager & guess what? The "lady" at the desk was "the boss", the hostess said. I told her about the chicken, was willing to show it to her, but she refused to speak with me. She took the item and rudely walked away. I did remain just long enough to get my money back. If you serve yourself at the buffet, maybe the food will be ok, but I will not go back.
Hit and miss. Usually if I go right at 11am the food is really good and fresh but today the pepper chicken was so hard and dried out that I thought it was probably yesterdays.
Honestly the food is great! But they do need to change some recipes. It tastes too authentic
The worst restaurant I've ever been to by far! The service is horrible and the food is even worse. The food was old and soggy and nothing was cooked right. It's not at all clean and everything was a mess. The servers stayed unseen and the cooks lacked personal hygiene and ever picked their nose before bring me a water. Honestly a discrace.
Food was awesome at early lunch time but the staff was never really present and only asked if we needed anything one time for the two hours we were all there. I asked for our drinks to be refilled multiple times but they just keep doing everything else but helping us. The guy at the grill disregarded everything both me and my wife wanted. But the absolute worst part of the whole experience was that there was only three tables that were in use and still they managed to ignore us for most of the time we were there. When the watresses switched and we got a new one then that's who made the difference so thanks to the last waitress we had today.
So expensive, and increasingly low-quality. I've tried to give it chance after chance, but after finding bugs in my food I was done. $12 for mediocre Chinese food is unreal. I understand that Wise County doesn't exactly have a surplus, but save yourself the anguish and just go to Red Flower in Big Stone.
Not my favorite place and I just stopped by to get my wife some rice and lomein noodles very experience for takeout. They charge by the weight not the type of food.
Yesterday was literally the 2nd time I've found a roach in the food. The first time kept me away for over a year. I will never be back. I let the owner know discreetly about the situation and he promptly removed the item from the bar like expected but, upon returning the same piece of lettuce was stuck to the side of the stainless steel container. He literally walked in the back took out the roach and turned around with the same thing placing it back in the bar. Seriously???
The food is your typical Chinese buffet. Nothing special not bad not good. But we all crave Chinese sometimes. I guess it's on up the road for me from now on to a smaller Chinese place that's substantially cleaner
good price good place to eat
Used to be very good food but they have changed a lot lately, still clean and a very nice staff all but the owner but the food has gone way down.
