Food was excellent, but dining room was cold, so food didn't stay hot.

This restaurant can do better. The food was average. The plates were not clean. They were still greasy.
The biriyani served here doesn't do justice to the dish (no aroma of the spice that is a must for any biriyani), it is just rice mixed in a simple curry.
The laccha paratha was well done to the point of being blackened on the edges. We had to waste most of it. The garlic naan is good. One order of naans can be shared by two people.
If you like tang, the tomato soup is a good choice. The vegetarian samosas will not disappoint you. Chicken pakora was a good appetizer to start with.
The okra was half cooked and wasn't shaahi in any sense.
Mango ice-cream delivered us from the mediocre main course.
The staff is kind, the ambience and the taste of the food (if claiming to be Indian) definitely needs improvement. You cannot just throw spice mixes and call it Indian food.

This is my third trip to aroma. Jon and I have recommended this restaurant to all our friends so it is fitting that I recommend it to you as well. Did you try Shalimar in Troy? This place is much better. Best food, More friendly, more family. Troy is the closest place i have been to even compare. If you want this style food and you're anyway near please come in. I invite you.

Food is delicious especially the rice. Menu says it has food from all regions of India but not really. It is mostly North Indian cuisine. Overall the quality and the experience is good. It would be nice to have more South Indian choices.
