After checking out other campgrounds in the area, we decided on Arbor Vitar as they seemed the most family friendly. We weren't disappointed once in the 4 days we were there. We arrived a few hours early and because there wasn't anyone in the site we reserved, they allowed us to check in early. Our site and fire ring was within a few feet from a little creek (which the kids LOVED) that flows from Big Arbor Vitae Lake. The little stream was so peaceful to fall asleep to and it's only about a foot deep so our kids played in it several times throughout the weekend. They spent nights searching for crawfish and frogs and caught many. Across from our site is a little park that they enjoyed as well.

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the bathrooms and showers were! Seriously, we have no complaints. Nice, clean, quiet campground that we plan to return to for a yearly tradition!

Location is great, lots are gravel, hard to get a large rig in most. If you don't get one of the front two spots, not much of a view. Really like the babbling brook and playground.

Very nice campground. Lots are very spacious. Scenery is just what I'm looking for specially with the creek running through the campground. The Father's day party was more than I could ask for. Have a wonderful time every time I visit

Don't go here!! We booked our site an entire year in advance so we could take our vacations. We called to fin out our check in time a few days prior to arriving. We were told that they changed our dates without telling us, they didn't call, email, or send a letter, this was for two families and neither was notified of date change. We called and the owner said the dates he chose were the dates and if we did t like it to not come! I attempted to contact the owner 5 times in one day and he wouldn't call back. We did eventually get a refund. How about wrecking a vacation!! We found another campground in the area we will go to for now on, Arbor Vitae lost two families of campers and we were long term campers there. Two years ago our other campers reservation land got mixed up by them too. I would never risk going here!
