I have been going to this salon for 2 years now. JD was my first stylist, and she always cut my hair exactly how I asked (see pic with plaid shirt). I like side bangs, and she would cut them with a nice angle/swoop to make it a less dramatic look but still noticeable. Unfortunately, JD moved so I decided to book with another stylist, Belle (I believe that was her name). I have not had my hair cut in over a year, so it was very long. My side bangs had grown out completely and were the length of the rest of my hair. To make sure we were both on the same page, I showed her a picture of the side bang look I wanted (similar to the look in the plaid shirt pic) and she ended up just cutting off a huge chunk of the front of my hair (see pics with white shirt). I hate to complain but I really do not know how to fix this. It will take months to grow out to a point where they could be trimmed again.

In addition to this issue, my appointment was booked for 5:15pm on 12/20 and I was done and walking out by 5:33pm. Belle said that she did not have time to dry my hair so I walked out with wet hair (so I obviously could not see the finished product of my hair until I got home and dried it myself). She put curling product in my hair because she told me she was going to curl it a little to give it some style but then she said she didn't have time to finish or dry it so now my hair is oily from product that never dried. Unfortunately, when I pulled my hair to the front to look at it once I got home, the left side was over an inch longer than the right side. I ended up having to trim the left side myself to get the layers even.

When I went to checkout once my appointment was over, Belle took $10 off of my charge for the wet hair inconvenience which was nice of her, but I still paid almost $40 for chopped bangs that cannot be fixed, an uneven cut, and wet hair (luckily I had no where to go after my appointment because I am not sure what I would have done in that scenario). I have never had my hair cut so fast before- my hair is (was) almost 2 feet long so whoever does my hair typically takes at least 45 minutes to cut and style/dry it. I LOVE this salon and I regret having to leave a bad review, but I am just very displeased with the service that I received today. I wanted to personally email the owners so that this review would not be public, but I could not find any personal email addresses in which to contact them. I will be glad to come back and update my review if this issue can somehow be resolved.

I go here for massages. Molly is an excellent massage therapist. She's very friendly and makes me feel comfortable and at ease. And she always deals with my trouble spots well -- I feel better afterwards. I always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed! Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Ritchie enough!! I no longer live in Athens and was talking with a friend in my town who is also from the Athens area. We were talking about favorite places to get a massage and I mentioned my favorite place is Arbor Salon and Spa. She instantly asked me if I saw Ritchie and I said yes! We discovered we have the same favorite masseur, and although we no longer live in Athens we both try to get an appointment with Ritchie when we are in town. He is excellent in his profession, skilled, kind, professional, has a great personality, and works well with everyone. He helped me work through several injuries including rotator cuffs and a severely sprained ankle. He can do everything from relaxation to deep tissue, and is wonderful for dancers and athletes. My entire family works with him. He's fabulous and one of my all around favorite people! If you are looking for a massage, look no further. Call Arbor and make an appointment.

Fabulous salon with great customer service Joanna is amazing. If I had the ability to show before and after photos I would. My hair look AWFUL! I mean I looked like a crack head, lol when she was finished with me I was in shock. I normally go really blonde and she darkened me up because my hair was so damaged. go see Joanna, she will fix you right up!!! The entire staff is so enjoyable! I ❤️ Arbor Salon and will not go anywhere else to have my hair done. I will only see Jonna. She is phenomenal! She treats your hair like a work of art. I thought I wanted long blonde hair, not any more. I love it short. Arbor is AMAZING!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Go experience Arbor for yourself. Treat your self your hair will be given lots of LOVE!

I recently started going to Arbor Salon and Spa to get my hair colored and cut. My first experience was amazing and I wanted to always go back to this salon to work with JD or Jamie as some called her. Sadly she moved and I went back with another colorist. My new colorist was very sweet but did not do as good of a job as my previous colorist. On top of that she charged me an additional twenty dollars than JD. My mother was not very happy with the Color or how much we paid to have it done. I will probably not go back here as my mother was very upset with the service I received yesterday.

I had a message with Molly recently. This being my first massage, I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was great! Molly was very professional and personable. The message itself was amazing! Will definitively be scheduling with Molly again! All members of the staff that I encountered were both helpful and friendly. Arbor definitely creates a soothing and comfortable atmosphere.

Yesterday, October 21,2016, my daughter went in to get a haircut. She has a stylist at home but she is in college in Athens. Her stylist at this salon was Jessica. My daughter has very thick curly hair. We have been fighting this battle for 20 years. So she knows what needs to be done when she goes in to get a cut. She likes to have it cut dry because when it is cut wet it is always shorter than she wants. My hair is curly too and I am the same.
Jessica was so rude to my daughter and made her feel as if her hair was gross! She told her she had to wash it and dry it. She then proceeded to tell her that her hair was frizzy because she gets it thinned out. My daughter did not speak up because she felt intimidated by Jessica. $47.00 later my daughter feels like she did not get a cut at all.
In my job I teach customer service so I felt that the manager, Kathy, would like to be aware of this situation. I called and asked to speak to the manager and the receptionist said that she was busy with clients all day and didn't know if she would be able to talk to me. I left my number and wanted to give her until the end of the day to call. Never heard from her or anyone else. So disappointed that she did not call me back but not surprised because I figured she would not! No stars for this salon!

I have visited this spa in the past. My husband and I had a couples massages. it was absolutely amazing. The service was excellent. I called today to schedule services for myself, my mom and sister. The young lady who answered the phone was very unprofessional. I could not get a straight answer out of her. It was so frustrating that I didn't even book anything. I am so disappointed in the customer service over the phone

I feel relaxed and comfortable here. Great location, staff and atmosphere. Impressed with John Eric. It has taken me a long time to find a great stylist for me in Athens. He is both personable and talented. Did exactly what i needed. So glad I came back here. It has only improved over the years.
