I cannot fully express my love for this farm. We took a trip up the east coast and Applecrest was on our itinerary as a stop over to go apple picking in New Hampshire (something everyone should do if given the opportunity). First off, the farm is BUSY. Be patient. Breakfast was simply amazing. Pancakes, with maple syrup obviously, was delicious. The store has almost everything. Apple picking was a lot of fun, the apples were a bit sour, but they sweetened up a week or two after we got them home. The ice cream shop has amazing flavors and everything was simply amazing. Our planned 2 hour stop turned into half a day of enjoying the farm.
Great place to hang with friends, I have no idea what the prices are like.
With a crowded, exciting center filled with live music, pie eating contests, and more, this is a great way to spend an afternoon with friends. Despite massive scale, the staff are friendly and extremely organized, with dedicated parking attendants. A shuttle conveniences customers to the far side of the property to bring apple picking.
I just hung out with friends there, so cannot offer any idea of how decent prices are. Also my comments here reflect a Saturdays visit :)
Favorite spot for Apple picking! Year round farm stand, pyo blueberries and pumpkins. Homemade ice cream cute bistro.
They also offer services if you want farm fresh veggies all year.
Works great with local farms in surrounding area.
Apple picking—fast becoming a privilege for the rich, thanks in part to Applecrest.
Yes, Pick Your Own second mortgage, because you'll need one after you buy a mere peck for $25.00. I'd understand if these were sushi trees, but these are apples we're talking about here. Outrageous prices and a nickel and dime attitude, no thanks.
Not a bad place but not the best. The past few years the prices have gone through the roof. I know it's 2017 but a 1/2 bushel of apples shouldn't cost $40. Everything in the store has almost doubled now too, turning a few hours of apple picking into an easy $130 day.
Beautiful orchard, lovely store and bistro. Enjoyed the bluegrass music and activities for kids. Best cider donuts! A bit pricey but a nice place to visit.
We had a family trip to pick apples because we had heard good things. We went to the main area and took the tractor over to the apple picking area. The two bag options were $40 and $25 and the bags arent that big. There is a third bag but it is an add on for $15 so you have to purchase another one first. When we were ready to get back on tractor we sat next to the area we got on. We were then told to move to a different area to get onto tractor so we did and when tractor came it went to the spot we were originally in. We walked back over and we barely got on because so many other people had waited in the initial spot. We will not be going back to this place for apple and pumpkin pickings.
The bistro was adorable and lit with white string lights. The food was good. The prepared food section smelled amazing and made me wish we could go back for lunch. The market area offered a lot more than I was expecting. We did pyo blueberries and there were plenty. They were ripe and delicious. Great experience all around.
Full bloom blueberries! A creamery (best ice cream around) full store and best chicken pot pies, apple crisp, apple orchard and pumpkin patch around! Well worth a trip from the south or north! Make sure you hit their harvest festival its awesome and just keeps getting better every year! Their staff is so friendly and kind ! Make sure to visit
Not just an orchard, but a destination in the fall when they host apple-picking parties for kids, offer hayrides out to the orchards for anyone who loves to "PYO" apples. Very tasty apple doughnuts (MUST TRY) and a new casual dining area built last year make it a good place to stop in.
Came here to cross country ski. Beautiful place. Was able to throw on my skis and explore.
Nice cafe to grab a bite. Love the apples. You can pick your own if you like or buy then in the shop. The produce is very expensive so I wouldn't use it for routine shopping but in a pinch it will do. The apple cider donuts are THE BOMB! They make any trip to Applecrest worth it.
Great family atmosphere. Great for first dates and date night. Awesome fall festivals. Best apple cider donuts. Morning apple pickinglarge variety of apples. Magical nights with decorations. A little pricey but it's farm to table products.
My husband and I work long days and this is our go to restaurant! The food is exceptional and healthy! The staff is sunny and bright and well informed about all meal items. I love the seasonal changes regarding farm to table. Chef and cooking staff take tremendous pride in their culinary creations! Dana is a well informed about the orchards and takes great care of her guests - as does all the team members! You will not be disappointed with the atmosphere and dinning! Love love love it! Oh and their apple pies a supper great!
