We have found some great purchases there - and as decor styles in stores seem to change, going for a more classic look can be difficult to find but at Another Home, this is the place to shop!

I have been consigning at Another Home since 1999, and I have always loved this store. I am an interior decorator, and I have survived many moves, so I always have plenty of extra decorative items that I need to part with. It's so great to be able to clean out my storage areas AND make a few bucks in the process! Anyway, Another Home has been under new management since summer of 2009, and things have changed up a bit. The store is more inclusive, which means that they take many more items, but this leads to a more crowded feeling in the store. Prices seem to be higher than in the past, which is great for me as a consignor, but I don't know how this is affecting buyers and product turnover. I have never had any problems bringing my two children into the store, but since there is a lot of (sometimes fragile) stuff to navigate around, I am always sure to hold them firmly by the hand. Another Home is still a great place to buy and sell - give it a chance!

I saw a posting on Craigslist about a poor customer that literally got chased out of the store simply because she brought her two children in the store. According to the customer, her children didn't do anything and the mother had been approached several times within just a few minutes of even setting foot in the door to be reminded of the "you break it, you buy it" policy. Then when she decided to leave, the sales person came outside to help another customer load a purchase and made a comment to the mother about how she she should know better than to bring her children into a store like that. If this is true, this is absolute nonsense and I hope that woman gets into big trouble about her actions towards the mother. It was definitely out of line for her to act like that infront of the children. What a hag!

I own a Bed & Breakfast in the Madison area and make it a point to stop at Another Home whenever I am in the area. They always have high end items that are perfect for decorating or updating one of my rooms. Prices are right, the shopping environment is well lit and never crowded. You owe it to yourself to check this place out!
