The reviews are true. This place is a rip off and never again will I ever step foot in their establishment. I called ahead of time because I had to put my Chihuahua down. The girl on the phone told me $190 which I agreed to. When I brought my dog in and waited for about 30mins she then brings me an estimate for $570. My mouth hit the floor. At a time where I had to sat goodbye to my. Four legged friend they were trying to scam me. I told him to. Another Animal hospital and payed $284.00. Stay away from this place
The doctor was higher then the stars. The clerk looked like he just woke up..the place was filthy, looked like it hadnt been cleaned in years. They wanted 1200 for an xray and blood work. This place should be shut down.
I just wanted to thank the team at Animal Emergency Clinic for saving my cat, Spaghetti. They have a great team and truly appreciate the time and patience they displayed. Dr. Carlow and Mackie showed so much compassion for my situation. It meant the world. Thank you!
I would like to pay the highest compliments to your staff on Wednesday the 20th of September. Dr. Yanguas and the vet tech Mackie provided a perfect mix of professionalism and compassion to my husband and I when we brought our dog in to be seen. They went above and beyond telling me to call anytime and helping us to know what next steps to take for our dog. I'm eternally grateful that they were there in our time of need, what outstanding people! Many thanks. Melo
Man, what a rough labor day weekend. My puppy, Felix, had a very upset stomach. He was throwing up and blood in his stool. I have called my regular Dr immediately. My Dr had advised me to go to the emergency center since his office is closed for the holidays.
I traveled to the emergency center and they took me right in. Dr. Dennis had helped me and my puppy. He found the problem what was happening to him. I can never be so grateful that he saved my puppy. I would be so devastated if he wasn't here today with me. Thank you, Dr. Dennis.
I just want to thank the doctor and the assistant that helped my dog and I when he swallowed my high blood pressure medication. As terrifying as it was, the doctor helped calm me down as well as make my dog better. I am so thankful for them for taking such good care of my baby, as well as saving him. Thank you!
A week ago I got home with my precious dog, I let him out of the car and thought he had gone inside, so I put down my garage door but then soon saw my dog was caught and my heart nearly stopped. I immediately opened the garage door and screamed for my husband to call the nearest vet clinic open at the time and told them we were on the way. I felt extremely guilty and awful but the lady that answered the phone was very calm and helped me breath and get there safely with directions the whole way. When we finally got there the veterinarian took Doug from me immediately. They were all so nice and diligent, they explained to me that surgery was needed and part of the tail would have to be removed but not to worry because Doug was going to be okay. I had the follow up appointment with the vet yesterday and she said everything was very well and healing nicely. I only have great things to say for this hospital and their staff.
I don't live in the area, just came down for the weekend to visit my cousin. His neighbor's dog found his way to my cousin's yard where we were having a barbecue and ran towards my dog, who was just chilling around. The neighbor came running behind and was able to pick up his dog but by that time, the dog had already reached my dog, leaving her with a little wound over the eye and was bleeding. He suggested to bring my dog to this hospital that he had used before for his own dog. We went together and he took care of everything. The doctor and nurse were just phenomenal and spot on, took care of my dog as soon as we came in, and fixed the wound in less than an hour. Fortunately, the eye was not compromised according to the doctor and the would will heal fast! Amazing staff, very friendly!! Great place!!

Last week at my office we had a "bring your pet day". I don't have a pet but I decided to bring my girlfriend's dog and it was a nightmare when another of the dogs there, a bigger one, tried to play in a very rude way with this little chihuahua. He grabbed my dog by the head and shook her. We separated them and thought that that was it but an hour later I saw the dog getting very quiet and didn't want to be touched. I worried and wanted to do something before my girlfriend could see it like that so I went to the vet office that was about to close. They recommended me to take the dog to this emergency hospital and on my way there I called them. The guy was very helpful from the very beginning guiding me to them; driving through rush hour in I-95 I could see that the dog was getting worst by the minute and this guy stayed with me on the phone calming me. When I got there they were waiting for us and immediately took the dog and started working on her. The doctor came and explained to me what they needed to do and after the X-rays she came back and suggested to hospitalize the dog overnight to keep her stable until we could have a neurological consult in the morning. They took good care of the dog during the whole night and we followed their recommendation the following day. The dog is going to need some other tests and is on treatment right now but I really appreciate the way the technician and the doctor took care of us. I recommend definitely this hospital.
If there was a way to post a review without giving a star, I would. However, I want to stress that it's an overrating to give this Clinic even one star. They are all about the money they can extract from anyone who is unfortunate enough to end up in their facility looking for help for their pet. I took a 2 1/2 hour flight into Ft. Lauderdale with my 14 yr old Yorkie. Prior to the flight I gave my dog a light sedative from my vet at home. As we were boarding the plane I noticed that my yorkie started to pant heavily. I thought he would settle down after the sedative took affect; however, his panting worsened. Midway through the flight he started to gasp for air and continued even after deplaning. I was desperate to find help for my dog and had to go directly from the airport to an animal clinic. It was after hours so I went to the Animal Emergency Clinic of Deerfield Beach. My dog was coughing and gasping for air. After tests and spending the night in their care and in an oxygen chamber, my dog seemed worse than he was when I brought him in the night before. The total charge was $1,897.94 for NO change in his condition. I immediately took my dog to another Veterinary Clinic. My dog by that point was in a considerably desperate state and very much in distress. That vet diagnosed the problem right away, administered various injections and within an hour my dog was significantly better and his condition continued to improve all at a fraction of the cost of the Animal Emergency Clinic. So there was a $1,897.94 charge from the Animal Emergency Clinic and no change in my dogs condition. I will dispute the charges. I would NOT recommend the Animal Emergency Clinic!!!
I am only giving this place one star because I have to give a star in order to leave this review. The absolute worst animal hospital around. My mothers dog had a seizure last night and another gentleman was putting his cat down. The employee there said looks like it's going to be a long night, as if she was being inconvenienced. On top of that my mom rushed out in such a frantic she forgot her wallet. My dad said I'll run back to the house to get it (.5 miles away), they refused to take our dog. Last time I checked, you pay at the end of your visit. The worst place and I will make sure I make this known.
Worst vet I have ever been to. If only "0" stars was an option. The Dr was arrogant and rude. Took 2 steps into the room and started yelling at us for not giving our dog the proper dosage of pain medication, without even looking at her or asking for a proper history. He made the assumption that he knew what was wrong without even looking at her. I had to ask him to evaluate her. The icing on the cake was when I heard the Dr and his technician talking negatively about my husband and I. We apparently insulted him because we didn't agree with his assessment. Also, there were bugs crawling in the waiting room. Don't waste your time or money.
