Great Italian food and service. Especially Pasta Sam
Have been coming here +25 years, service has always been friendly, fast and the food is always good. I've tried most of the menu items and now concentrate on the specials, never disappointed. Try it, you'll like it.
We went there for an early dinner. The place is very charming and the food was delicious. Like most Italian food, we had enough to take home. Our waitress bagged everything and made sure there would be no spillage. She was also very attentive to our needs. Next time we visit our son in the area I plan to visit ago.
I used to love Angelo's from the 80s through the early 2000s. My last 3 meals there were not up to par, I'm in no hurry to go back. Either they have lost a step or two, or I've out grown them. My money is on them. Maybe I got the chef with training wheels, but I expect better from them, and I think they should expect better from themselves. Consistently great food is what they delivered last century.
If you're looking for a great place for dinner, or a catered dinner for a special event, Angelo’s should be the only place you look to. The overall amazing experience with Angelo’s starts with Michael Passalacqua. My wife and I needed a caterer for our wedding October 7, 2017. We taste tested several places and met the Catering Staff Manager. The experience at Angelo’s was different, because the owner himself, Michael, was our personal Catering Staff Manager. He personally made a commitment to meet with us. This alone made our experience different. He asked not only my wife and I to come taste test, but to also bring both of our parents. You could tell from the beginning Michael took his business extremely serious through his pride and enthusiasm. Michael provided us with wine, salads and several entrees and sides. We knew immediately with Michael we had already been leaning towards him, but then the food sealed the deal. The first thing we all loved was the salad dressing. He threw 5 different chickens, meatballs and pasta at us. After we had done our taste testing, Michael talked to us about their famous Gelato and wouldn’t let us leave until we all tried some, and by SOME, I mean 8 different flavors. Now I am a “meat and potatoes” kind of guy, so Gelato had always sounded a little “fru fru” to me. The Gelato is incredible. My personal favorite was the salted caramel, I could eat an entire jug of it myself.
We met with Michael 10 months prior to our wedding. He gave his personal cell phone number. The night we left the taste testing, we said “that's the one”. So I called Michael the very next day. Funny note, Michael took my call archery hunting in a tree stand, dedication! Michael remained in communication constantly and invited us back for a final taste testing. Again the same red carpet treatment. After much deliberation we decided the Chicken Picatta. We also ended up choosing instead of doing a wedding cake, we got his amazing Gelato. It's from a cart. A yellow, 4 wheeled, old school, street corner vendor cart with a built in cooling system. It was awesome and huge hit. The guests raved about what a great idea the Gelato is, and he even brings a gluten free kind to accommodate everyone. The only bad news was, my wife and I were so busy we never even made it over to get our Gelato, but that just means we need to make a trip down to Angelo’s for some.
I am a businessman myself, so I can appreciate transparency in negotiating discussions. What I liked about Michael was he was open and honest, of course there is a cost to this all, but you get what you pay for. The cost wasn’t any different from what we were quoted from any other caterer. In fact the additional benefits and services offered was incredible. What you don’t realize is what all is included when you deal with Angelo’s. He brings a huge staff. They are like ninja’s too. His wife actually personally took care of our sweetheart table where my wife and I sat. He works the event himself. Michael was in the mix, running out food, bussing tables, manning the Gelato cart, and overall seeing the entire operation. Now that’s cool, the owner sweating and grinding it out with the rest of his team.
Michael and his staff at Angelo’s are top notch, and did everything to make our day great. They have this down to a science. He knows precisely how much food, pasta, meatballs, sauce, coffee, cookie trays, plastic trays, etc. it will take. We did a family style meal, and we have some big boys in our families. They are fast and discreet, and out of the way. The pricing is extremely competitive, and the additional included services are unmatched. The pricing for extra services are very low and affordable. Angelo’s has a customer for life with us, and it will be our anniversary dinner date night for the rest of our lives. Thank you to Angelo’s, Michael, and entire staff for helping to make our day incredible and fill our bellies from dinner to dessert!
Had a very pleasant visit at Angelo's when I came for dinner. The deep fried zucchini with marinara sauce was delicious and I would definitely recommend trying out this family business if you haven't yet. The wait staff was helpful and attentive as well. I asked the server her name so I could give her credit and she said it was Marissa. Quality American Italian food, fair prices and a warm dining experience. Though I am not from the area, I may make it a point to stop back in. The tradition that was advertised is apparent in the atmosphere.
Excellent Italian cuisine. Beautifully done on the inside. And, oh, all those flavors of gelato to pick from.
Great food and environment. Friendly staff. Better food than Olive Garden. Bring a friend because their portions are HUGE!
Washington County Habitat for Humanity has hosted a mission group from Bishop Canevin High School for a week each summer, for the last three years. These kids come and stay at W&J and help not only Habitat (build a home for a deserving family ) & in our ReStore but also other non-profits in our area. Michael & Angelo's staff have been very gracious the last 2 years to provide lunch for the mission group. They volunteers get super excited knowing that they will be having Angelo's for lunch!! Michael always provides pasta w/ marinara, Alfredo pasta, meatballs, a huge salad with their delicious homemade dressing (which I heard one student say she could eat this with a spoon), and bread & butter. Everything is always fresh and absolutely delicious. If it wasn't for Angelo's the volunteers would be packing PB&J. I never hesitate to ask Micheal for help feeding these student volunteers. I know he will always help. It is nice to know there are still caring, giving people in Washington. I do not always get the same response when I call other family owned businesses here in town. Thanks again to Micheal and all his staff for a fantastic lunch and for being so generous.
Enjoyed the good food and great staff. Our large party really had a good time
Super tasty delicious food. Subtracted one star because they are a bit too expensive in my opinion. Otherwise great food, well worth a visit if you want quality Itallian.
The waitstaff was pleasant. Food was good. Unfortunately the salad that my wife ordered "Michael" was flaming hot. While we understand that there were hot peppers it seemed like someone spilled hot sauce on everything and you couldn't escape the heat. Still everything was tasty. We will certainly return again.
