I have had massages by many people all over the world, Christine is the BEST! She has great technique and extensive knowledge of the different muscle groups and knows where to focus her attention. I have been going to Christine for over 19 years

Christine is my go-to for keeping my lower back in check - her understanding of fitness and CrossFit make her invaluable for helping improve mobility and recovery after heavy training. Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I are here on vacation and stumbled upon this spa. We are so happy we did. We both had massages. He went with deep tissue and I had Swedish (I had Danielle) and we both agreed that this was hands down the best massages we have ever had. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing massage, relaxing environment and friendly staff.

Beautiful place, great services. My daughter and I saw Nic for hair and followed him to this salon/spa. Had the usual great haircut from him in a relaxing and beautiful setting. Daughter had a facial with Rebecca and was thrilled. Look forward to going back!! Bonus is the location in Lewes, walking distance to great restaurants to complete your day!!

DO NOT GET WAXED HERE. I am an experienced waxer and i left here bruised and having given up on any attempt at finishing a bikini wax. My full leg left me covered in wax spots with patches of hair. The wax is cheap. The technician very inexperienced with no idea how to pull the strips. She was also sweating profusely Like rolling off her nose onto me sweating. It was a disaster. When i complained, The manager wouldn't even talk to me directly. Instead, she had the receptionist tell me to come back in an hour and had her charge me $125. TERRIBLE customer service! I paid to be hurt and left hairy. Check out Yelp, many of the reviews there are pretty poor too. I wish I had looked there before booking.
Update: After cooling down a couple days, I tried speaking with the manager, her name is Christine. I can honestly say I am shocked at how poorly she responded. First, she questioned why I hadnt come back that day as she asked. I told her that our family vacation schedule hadnt allowed that and I wanted to calm down a bit first to ensure a calm conversation. Second, she told me the only way she would offer a refund is if she saw the bruising. I pointed out that she was talking about my vagina and since she was now being quite rude that felt a bit uncomfortable to me. She said she had to talk to t he technician and would call me back. THEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME. I never raised my voice or was rude. I was upset for sure and a bit shocked she wasnt kindly apologizing and offering a refundbut I never gave her cause to be rude to me. If a business doesnt have a better system of handling totally valid complaints from its customers it says a lot about their care for the public they serve.response / report this review -

The Ocean Retreat Day Spa is a delight! I love the friendliness and the professionalism of the staff. I received a massage and body scrub, a deluxe mani/pedi (which included paraffin wax) and a haircut from Panda. I will be back many more times in the future.

I have been "retreating" for several years now and enjoy every experience. Christine is also expert at laser hair removal which I was always afraid of, but she explained everything and it has been going great! The charm of the facility is only outdone by the charm of their team. Great people, great service.

Both my wife Barb and I have personally used the services at Ocean Retreat with amazing results. Christine has a established a very relaxing environment in one of Delaware's best kept secrets.. Lewes. Outstanding health and wellness facility and we highly recommend checking it out when in the area.
