Staff is horribly rude, moves at a snails pace, and couldn't find a vain to save their lives.
Having an appointment was meaningless at this place. I sat for an hour in the waiting room, waiting to just do the questionnaire (even though I'd already done it thru RapidPass). Eventually I had the temerity to ask someone to please explain that I could expect, given I'd been waiting an hour past my appointment already. Turns out they didn't have enough beds. Here's an idea: don't accept appointments beyond what your capacity (beds, people) can accommodate. If you find yourself in that situation, be a reasonable human being and tell the people sitting there that it's not going to work out at the moment. Will never go back. A terrible example for the Red Cross. An attempt to contact the manager of the place also went nowhere. We should all expect more. Inexecusable.
I donate here now and then. Some of the staff are very nice, others act almost like they're annoyed you came in and gave them work to do. I appreciate they have a lot of movies to pick from, but I can say that some other blood banks I've been with have nicer staff.
Amazing organization that works hard given lack of resources and support to really go out there and help people.
Staff is hit or miss in attitude. Generally everyone is nice enough though.
Terrible place to try and donate blood. Staff doesn't care and makes you wait long periods of time even when you have a scheduled appointment. Go elsewhere to donate.
As far as Foggy Bottom / Farragut West office cafeterias go, this one at least has many options and is actually open during a reasonable lunch period. But really, it's just ehhh
Good service but they need to conserve electricity - we've walked by really late at night and ALL of the lights are on in the building! Save money for your programs - turn your lights off!
Adam we thank you so much for the generous donation it will help out so much you are amazing!!
