This company has wonderful customer service! When my furnace was not working I called American HVAC. Steve, the owner, came right over to take a look at it. My furnace was old and needed to be replaced. Steve was great to work with every step of the way. He went through different options with me and explained which one would be the best for the size of home I had. American HVAC has great communication with their customers. They were there when they said they would be and installed the new system in a very timely manner. Steve and his team did a great job installing the new furnace and air conditioner and the price was good too. I am really happy with American HVAC and their wonderful service. I would definitely use them again.
Another great job! Steve did a fantastic job putting in a new furnace and AC 2 years ago, so when we needed work done, we knew who to call! This time we worked with John who was outstanding as well. After a recent remodel we were having issues with return air not working properly. He was able to find a better, more effective location and explained everything as he went. We would definitely use them again in the future!
I paid this company $95 to diagnose a furnace. I was waiting on a quote or something in writing. He kept telling me it was just $800 a flat fee. I’ve worked in the rental property business for 12 years and Have never had a plumber give me a flat fee so that had me questioning the professionalism of this company. I had two other companies out in the week that it took to get anything back from this company. (Still nothing). I’m so glad I did! both of them saved me $600 from using American HVAC. I was really harassed when I asked him to take our part back 5 days later, So a better company could do the job right. I’ve never even heard of companies taking parts from locations that they are not authorized to do the work for.. Working with subcontractors in this industry is so difficult. Especially because of companies like this.
Super fast service. We had Steve do a complete tear out and re-install of all the duct work in our old house in 2015.
The new system saves us money and runs like a champ.
Very honest and accurate on bids over the phone.
Several hundreds less than competitive bids and nice to work with.
We are now finishing the basement again. Steve came out super quick to get the returns for the basement in place.
Definitely will call again for all future HVAC needs.
My family and I are happy we decided to go with Steve after having quotes with 3 other companies. He didn't try to sell us everything he could, he was honest, hard working, and did a great job. We had him install an AC and Furnace, and when we had a small issue with the furnace not firing up on a Sunday morning he came over immediately to fix it, so that my family could be comfortable. Steve cares about his clients, it's obvious from the get-go that he's going to encourage you to get an affordable, appropriately sized system installed and will do whatever he can to meet the specific needs of your home with a custom tailored installation.
My wife and I just moved in to our brand new dream house. And while we both thought we'd asked the builder to put in a humidifier, we were both wrong. And I'm glad we were. Had we remembered, we wouldn't have found Steve.
When we realized that we'd neglected to have one installed by the builder, I called a guy I've used before to come install a humidifier, but he didn't return my calls/texts for days. Now I'm always telling my kids that you should question any contractor who's available for same day service, but that same contractor needs to be responsive. He didn't respond so he doesn't get the business. Period.
Anywaysince my now former HVAC guy didn't call back, I called Steve (based on his reviews) and asked him to come over. Did you notice that I actually spoke with him? That's right. He answered his phone.
When he explained that he refuses to install the cheap humidifiers that operate like swamp coolers (and don't really do much) and insists on the more expensive steam-type humidifier, I was sold. I mean really; who insists on quality anymore? Steve does.
He couldn't come that same day - passing that test - but scheduled a time with me for 3 days later. I was stunned when he called the day before to confirm. I mean who does that? Steve does.
Steve showed up on time (Yes. On time) with another guy and got right to work.
Steve noticed that the drain lines from the furnaces were somewhat haphazardly run across the floor of our mechanical room and asked if it would be okay if he took care of that for us as part of the humidifier installation. I asked how much he'd charge and he said, "No charge. I just want to make it right." Seriously?! Who does that? Steve does.
So a couple of hours later, I have a top of the line humidifier and a well-organized set of PVC drain pipes.
But wait, there's more
As he was leaving, Steve had his guy clean the tile in our entry way since their shoes had left a bit of a trail after a recent rain. I told him it wasn't necessary since I have several dogs who've been tracking in a lot more than these two had. But he insisted on leaving it as clean (or cleaner) than when he'd arrived. Again I ask the question; who does that? Steve does.
My former guy is out. Steve is my new HVAC guy and he should be yours.
We called Steve when we were finishing our basement and adding air conditioning. He and his team were knowledgeable and thorough and worked well through the obstacles our old home put in front of them. His prices were fair and the work was done on schedule. Steve has since been helpful whenever we have called with any issues and is great at getting back quickly. We are very happy with the service and work done and are going back to work with him again on our next home project.
We called on Saturday morning after finding out our furnace and A/C were totally broke. We had guests coming Monday afternoon. Not only did Steve and team give me a quote that was 35% less than other company, but he assembled a team to start early Monday so that they could be done by late afternoon on Monday. They did not disappoint. A team of 4 (plus Steve) got it done with perfection. Down to every last detail of cleanliness, I could not be more pleased.
Amazing service! Steve the owner contacted me immediately and dispatched a tech to our home within two hours of my original call. Our tech John was extremely knowledgeable and found the problem right away. The unit was restored in half an hour at a very reasonable price! I recommend John and Steve to anyone looking for a great company to work with.
Ac went out last night. Called, and they came asap did a quick check of the system and fixed the issue with a part from a well stocked truck. Very communicative. Texted multiple times to update me on when they could squeeze me in.
I had a problem on a Sunday and 15 minutes later I had Steve at my door to take care of it in the heat of Summer. Steve was amazing, knowledgeable and affordable! I would recommend him to anyone!
I called several AC places and Steve gave me the most straight forward estimate of any of them. And he stuck with it. After meeting with him I researched the various things he had told me and he knew exactly what he was talking about. He got the work done quickly and the new unit works great.
Steve and his team came recommended by another in-home contractor. This investment home was riddled with challenges retrofitting it with a new furnace, AC and duct work. After kindly spending the time needed to exhaust all options - he architected the most reasonable solutionall on the first visit. He is a meticulous communicator and you know exactly what you are getting and the plan for work. He made himself available by phone, text and email. I had a positive experience and I had him come do a second job - we had 1 issue on the job and he immediately resolved it beyond my expectations. I value great service but I honor people who put their name on their work and ensure you get what you want. Steve is clearly a winner in his field and does exactly that.
Replacing your furnace and A/C is not a small price decision. We received quotes from numerous companies and American HVAC (Steve) was far better than the rest. Naturally my "price = quality" mindset kicked in so I started working on the research. A big part of our decision was impacted by the many positive reviews that Steve has. He and his crew did great work, went the extra mile, and for the first time in the years of living in our home we can keep it cool! (Which truly is saying a lot since our home is new and the old system was only 10 years old.) To be fair, we have only had our unit for a week and time will truly tell the tale, but based on my experience with Steve, his assurance gives me comfort that we will be good for years to come.
