Even on a quiet day with an empty waiting room you should be prepared for a long, long wait. Usually 1-2 hours to see an actual doctor. The nurse taking my vitals had flu and during your extended wait you can listen to the doctors and nurse ratchett discuss what they are getting from Jim N Nicks, chik fil a and other area restaurants.

Also be prepared to be talked to like a dog and referred to the emergency room when you finally see a 'doctor". Mercy animal hospital may be a better option for human heath care.

Dr John Holloway has been taking care of me for 15 years. He listens to me describe my symptoms and has always given the right diagnosis. This trip included, even after 2 trips to an ER and a trip to my primary care doctor. The staff has always been professional and attentive. The onsite Pharmacist went over my antibiotic instructions and told me what side effects to expect. I would certainly recommend this AFC location.

Cheryl Norris, NP is Top Notch! I recently visited this location very ill and she knew immediately what the problem was. Within two days I had surgery and was back home recovering. I am grateful for her, Dr. Holloway and the staff at AFC Gardendale!

Went at a time not so busy as a matter of fact I was the only one in the reception area. So I was taken right in prep weighed, vitals, and taken to a room. Physician came is with in 5 min. There where other patients in other room so I was not the only one there. The doc checked me out told me what test the were going to run. The tests were done in about 15 minutes, very impressive. I was in and checked out of their pharmacy, in my truck leaving with in 45 to 55 min. Everybody was nice very professional even the new girl training was very polite she even had time to tell that she hopes I get better real soon, to( Unheard-of at this kind of place when you should here that more often.). Thank you Gardendale American Family Care. Keep up the good work you really impressed me this time.

Dr. Holloway and Nicole are great. Everything else there is lousy. $175 to walk in the door without insurance is criminal. $50 for a follow up is no good either. I went back after no improvement after ten days of medicine, to be told that it'd been almost a month since I was last there. Is August 22 to September 4 almost a month? Admittedly it was just past the ten day mark, but the meds were supposed to keep working after finishing them, so I gave them time to work. I wasn't about to pay another $175 just to get shots and another prescription for antibiotics. The lady told me she was sorry, and she was right. I can not recommend this place to anyone anymore. Urgent care in fultondale isn't much better, but at least they're cheaper.

This place is a joketwice now I have been told I couldn't see a doctor..once I couldn't pay enough money.had my copay and 10$.to pay on my balance (which was a whopping 50$) this time no reason was given..just " if you could come back in the morning" NO I can not just come back in the morning.I can't just miss work just to suit you..This will be me and my families final visit here. I will find somewhere where I Atleast feel that my health is a comcern.

I went on a Sunday morning and was out with my prescription from their pharmacy in less than 30 minutes. The doctor was very personable and quick to listen.

Update - One day after my visit AFC called me to check and see how I was doing. Who does that these days? I really appreciated the call. :)

The Doctors did a really excellent job taking care of my cyst on my back. It's healed very well and they were great on the follow up call and visit. I would recommend them to all my family and friends. I will definitely use them anytime I need something taken care of.
