Recommended. American Chimney and Masonry were professional, communicated well on scheduling, and our inspector Dennis was both knowledgable and helpful.

The inspection report was detailed and clear, and he did a great job of walking us through what the most vs. least urgent repairs and options were. Felt like a real service and not a sales call, which we appreciate - we'll be using them for the repairs next for sure.

Extremely helpful in explaining the various options that are available for restoration/retrofitting my old existing 1957 indoor chimney (4 flues, 3 wood fire and 1 for the oil furnace) for recently purchased home. Shawn did a great job and was extremely professional during inspection and sweeping service. Greatly appreciate the flexible schedule and all the helpful information from someone who appreciates vintage era craft as much as myself.

So far, so great with American Chimney. My brother in law recommended them and he was right to. The technician, Shawn, explained in detail why smoke comes into my house when I build a fire. (FYI it’s totally not my fault.) All the options got laid out, with pros and cons. I could make an educated decision about a solution without pressure or shady tactics that I have experienced with other companies. Highly recommended. I will update this review after all work is done.
