Nice little museum. We arrived just in time for a tour with a guide. Amelia island has so much more history than I ever new of. Worth checking it out is your interested in history.

Great place for parents with children. Young children will see plenty to engage then. Adults, at the same time, will enjoy learning about the history of Amelia Island.

Excellent displays of 400+ years of history on Amelia Island. Docent-led tours at 10 and 2 daily are included in price of admission and are well worth one's time. Temporary exhibit changes every few months. Walking tours of historic district available as well as pub crawl and ghost tour. Highly recommended.

This museum is in a repurposed jail building. It is small enough to skim in an hour but detailed enough to spend several hours examining everything. Stick around for a tour! Tour guide Dee gave an impressive 4000-year history of Amelia Island.

Friendly staff. Even had a very polite young man (on staff) hold the door open for me and my wife as we walked up to the building. I was about to pay admission, then realizing I only had 10 dollars in cash any my Amex card. Fortunately they only charge 4 for military/veterans. The museum had awesome displays and very detailed information on the history of Amelia Island. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because all of the scavenger hunt stamps were broke. Also there were some out of place objects lying around. Overall, the museum was great. I love to see a town take such pride and preserving it's past.
