Very neat to be able to see the behind the scenes of how they make these beautiful pieces.
Wonderful blankets! I did my Christmas shopping here.
A tour would make the expect perfect.
Amazing historic woolen mill that is still operating. You can find all type of wool and cotton blankets, scarves and covers. A must stop if you can find the time. Great quality and care go into each item made.
Incredible, still operating woolen textile mill. Beautiful products and lovely staff!
Really nicely American made wool and cotton products. Came away with 2 very nice blankets, made right there in the mill. These things are going to last for years!
Fascinating historical mill which still makes beautiful wool and cotton items. They also allow you to tour the factory floor.
Interesting historical location selling old fashioned woven goods. Great gifts with local flavor.
Really expensive, and I thought it was going to be more than it was.
Loom Warping project, setup, repair, bolts, beam backward, many many things to adjust & oil. A Newcomb Studio 4 head, 4 peddle setup. Probably from the 1950's .
A blessing of knowledge and peace
Never a bad time when you get to come hang at the wool mill! The weaving (I think) area where most of the blankets are made is to the right when you go in. Quite impressive and a good spot to kill a little time.
They recently revamped the place and for the better IMO. The offerings are solid, but it's not overwhelming as it was in the past. Good amount of sweaters, scarves, hats and mittens, plus a number of other off the path wool items like dusters and placemats. Most of not everything is made locally and the stuff if quality. I'm on year 4 of a hat and scarf combo that keeps on giving!
The discount section is the left and often has some good offerings. Well worth checking out if you're in the area and have a little time to kill or some toes to keep warm!
