Experienced, craftsmanship, dependable and integrity are just a few reasons why Russell and his team at All-Tex Home Improvement Services LLC earned a 5 star rating from us. They provided sound advice on our hardscape projects to include concrete and framing throughout the effort. Despite a 6 month approval delay due entirely to our having to deal with 2 different HOA management companies, All-Tex continued to provide timely advice and support to us when needed. An unexpected out of state job opportunity in the end, led us to contact Russell about canceling our projects in order to sell our home. Understanding our situation, he cheerfully terminated our contract and refunded our money. Should we return to the Houston area, we would definitely contact Russell and All-Tex for any of our home improvement projects. We strongly encourage you to do the same.
Bad experience with All-Tex Exteriors. We hired All-Tex for a small patio extension project which included replacing the roof section over our patio, some electrical work, and a concrete slab extension. We paid the first installment on May 13, 2022 for what we were told would be a 4-5 day project. On August 19, 2022, we cut our losses with a few pieces of the project undone and paid the final balance.
The roof section was completed first. All-Tex presented us with an architectural drawing of the new roof section prior to the start of the project--the roof that was actually installed was NOT in accordance with the drawing we approved. The roofline for the addition did not align with the existing roofline as the drawing specified. After the first rain, we noticed a leak in the ceiling adjacent to the new roof section. All-Tex came out and told us that they found the issue and it was an easy fix. When the next rain came, there was another leak on the opposite side of the roof. This time it was more than a week before it was addressed and during this time we noticed yet a third leak in the new patio ceiling as well as water damage in the same general area from a prior leak. We hired 2 independent roofing companies to come out and give us an opinion. The shingles had been installed incorrectly--All-Tex had to completely remove the shingles and start over.
The electrical work was also a bad experience. We purchased patio heaters that had very specific installation instructions which we provided prior to the start of the project. The electrician never looked at the instructions and was not installing them correctly—we had to stop him, call the heater company, and they walked us through getting them installed correctly. Additionally, the electrical outlets were not covered with outdoor weatherproof covers which we had to replace ourselves.
The beadboard ceiling was installed unevenly with warped trim boards and paint from the ceiling running onto the trim. We ended up buying some molding, painting it ourselves and paying one of their workers to install it in order to hide some of this.
The concrete was also a horrible experience. The day of the “pour” the concrete foreman said the cement truck came earlier than he ordered so he didn’t have time to get everything prepared. All-Tex did NO preparation to the ground under the concrete. There were no form boards where the concrete met the ground so the entire bottom portion of our slab is uneven with holes in it. The slab wasn’t draining properly and held water in 4 places. All-Tex came back and installed texture which was supposed to solve the problem—it didn’t. It’s better but still holds water.
We could give several more examples, but the bottom line is we would not recommend All-Tex Exteriors or any of their sub-contractors.
It was a great project from start to finish and we really love the new look. David from All-Tex was very professional and kept me posted on the job from coming out for a quote to finish. He wasn't pushy, he just gave me the quote and said call him if I wanted to proceed.
Spent a bunch of time searching for a company that could do a solid job replacing the damaged soffit and fascia on our 1955 home in SW Houston…
We found All-Tex after a bunch of research and the experience was really great.
Aleck’s bid was quick, extremely competitive and he quoted add-one for us that made a ton of sense as part of our project.
In the end we hired All-Tex to replace the soffit/fascia, and paint the exterior of our entire house. We were having our roof replaced as part of a separate insurance covered project and Aleck’s team worked around that scheduling while also delivering a great final result. We were able to tweak some of the scope of the work in progress based on a few aesthetic choices and still came in on time and budget.
Guillermo the project lead on site was fantastic to work with and was very flexible with us as we tried to pin down our paint selection and the above mentioned mid-project pivots.
I’d absolutely recommend All-Tex for an exterior project like ours!
We had a great experience with AllTex. I had three bids from local providers. AllTex quote was not the lowest but Russell's communication and prompt response to our phone calls and emails seal the deal for them. We end up getting a 16 x 13 Solaview Aluminum Pergola. After the order it took them six weeks to come and install the Pergola in one day. Russell referred us to a bank that gave us loan for 365 days interest free. Their construction manager, Brian, is one of the most hard-working and honest contractor I have dealt with in years. He came on time with his crew and communicated throughout the day about the install. He came back in a few days and installed our fan and finished the job ( we did not have a fan for him on the day of the installation). Overall, start to finish, we had a great experience and extremely happy with their services. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend AllTex to my family and friends.
