They got my cat in right away and were able to get him meds immediatly. Their service was good and the staff polite. Prices aren't bad either.

I am a Service Dog Handler. Service dogs can cost up to $25,000. It is critical to have a Vet that is 100% professional. I have seen all sorts of vets in my 30 years of dog handling, and Dr. Anstadt is the first vet that goes above and beyond making sure the Service dog in my charge is provided optimal care not just adequate care.

There are many DOC-In-A-Box establishments. Your pet is seen for a very short time and medications are administered with very little knowledge provided to customers, and serious issues can arise in our pets and working dogs.

Each visit,Dr. Anstadt has spent considerable time sharing not only the options available, Pro/Con of option, but went into detail regarding how the medications actually work. I was even shown how I can use products in my home to care for minor issues. No pressure at the visit to buy costly medications. I I left the office informed and empowered.

Dr. Anstadt staff prints out vaccination dates on each receipt. It makes it easy for me to add dates to calendar to keep vaccinations up to date. They send out mailers to remind of routine care.

Scheduling appointments has always been easy. The establishment is extremely clean, and well maintained. Cost of the visit is more than reasonable.

This is an old school vet. The animal comes first. Exactly as it should!

I demand professional veterinary care for my animals. Dr. Anstadt delivers.

My experience with Dr. Anstadt was terrible. He is contracted with petco so they sent me to him for my guinea pig. There were too many things wrong with my visit to even cover. After waiting at least 15 minutes, he came in and asked if I was in a rush-- I'm guessing so he could go do something else before helping my pet. First of all, he was very rough on my baby guinea pig. He pet her so roughly that her eyes bulged out of her head. She was very stressed hours after leaving his office. He didn't check her heart, lungs, breathing, or anything. All he did was turn her over, weigh her and look at her. He checked her ears only because I asked to make sure she didn't have mites. He mocked me for worrying about the possibility of death from a respiratory infection, then later on jokingly said she could die (but "probably won't".) He 'diagnosed' her with a respiratory infection--despite not checking her enough to diagnose that. A different vet said that his 'diagnosis' is condescending considering there are different types of infections; and he didn't specify or check thoroughly enough. If that wasn't bad enough, he gave her a shot for Baytril (an antibiotic that isn't recommended to use on young pigs), without giving a probiotic and without asking me first or telling me the specifics. He tried to get me to come in everyday for a shot, then every other day. I live far away. He wasn't 'sure' when or if she'd get better even with shots, yet wouldn't prescribe the medication to take home, which is how it's almost always treated. He told me you only get medicine to take home if they're really sick- but coming to the vet for a shot everyday means my pet is more healthy somehow? He evaded all my questions and wouldn't listen to my concerns. He didn't give me eyedrops even though that was the main reason I was worried about her. He very clearly did not take me or the health of my pet seriously. I went to Northridge Animal Clinic today, and they dis-confirmed the respiratory infection. They looked at everything. She doesn't have an infection, she has allergies. They gave me drops for her along with a probiotic since he failed to give it. They were also very gentle and sweet with her. If you're looking for a good vet practice, especially for small animals, I recommend them instead. He told me that just the one visit I had with him would've cost me $1500 anywhere else which is hilariously laughable. All he did was hold her and put a needle in her. It cost $115 at my visit today with Northridge animal clinic, and I got two medications. The only good thing I have to say is that his assistant was nice and the receptionist was sweet. He is a terrible vet who cannot be trusted or taken seriously.

Giving 1 star due to the fact I waited 45min past my appt. time. I also asked for Xrays, they did not offer them at the time, Machine was down! I knew there was something wrong with her leg. I did many things at home to know it was not a visible issue. Needless to say $49 later and I am going else where for another opinion since vet even said it wasn't a confirmed diagnosis.

Really nice doctor who is very informative and gives you statistics so you can evaluate on your own what is necessary to do for the dog. Regularly takes a little off the bill, particularly when you've spent a good deal of money. Only reason it isn't five stars is because of his wonky hours. I've also had to wait a few times pretty long probably because he's a bit long winded, but overall I'd recommend this place.

Their prices are great and I appreciate the fact they will work with me on the bills. As the owner of several cats, all of whom are wonderful, I believe they deserve the best possible treatment and in my opinion you could get that treatment from Dr. Sven.
