Exceptional! Super clean, fresh smelling room with crisp white sheets and soft pillows! Great toiletry products, above average breakfast, friendly staff. Exactly what I want. Best deal around!

Here for a weekday overnight, nice room (130), nice pool, clean. Inexpensive. Near every retail establishment in Wilkesboro. Recommended. Service is top rate. Whoever is at the front desk this evening is on top of things. Appreciative guest. At night, however, way too many people congregating in the parking lot & at the pool, which did not close. Someone tried to open my husband's car, the security light was flashing. Keep the doors locked on your vehicles. UPDATED: we stayed here again 08/06 - 08/07 (weekend, coincidentally the same room, 130) and it was a totally different experience. Quiet at night, no issues. Our prior visit was during the 4th of July holiday and could have been a factor. Breakfast was sausage gravy, biscuits, scrambled eggs.

It's a hotel. It's centrally located, you can walk to food and such. It's kinda run down, but it's cheap. The front desk guy is still grumpy about being an extra from "The Crow" and sulks and doesn't even make eye contact. Not a bad experience, but nothing to get excited about, either.

We have our workers traveling all the time to do work in this area and have been using this hotel for the past 3 weeks, well today we had an emergency so I called to cancel one of the rooms we had booked, well when I called I got nothing but problems, I asked for a manger and was told that the person I was speaking with Zack was the manager. He was nothing but rude, he refused to work with us along with the fact didn’t care that one of our workers had a family emergency so had to leave. He went as far as huffing and puffing at us, while being on the phone turned around with an attitude to tell somebody else cancel the room and if their stuff is not out they are not getting it. Come on, that is not professional at all, clearly if we are calling to cancel one of the rooms that means we have nothing in that room, he added that for dramatic affect and to further be disrespectful to us. So, now we will be taking our business elsewhere, we will never book this hotel again!!!!! The staff is unfriendly and unprofessional. Zack is not a good manager at all, if indeed he is a manager.
When we call and fax our reservations then you tell us we are good, then lose our reservation, argue with us over the phone and refuse to work with us as well as prolong the conversation so you can charge us when we are trying to cancel is not professional at all and extremely rude.
I highly do not recommend this hotel to anybody, especially businesses that have people passing through town to stay the night or staying for days at a time to do work in town.response / report this review -

Clean but stingy one little bar of soap and one little tube of shampoo for two people. Only one small washcloth and one hand towel for each person. And one Bath towel each.
Room has one king size bed in it that is worn completely out!
It was so soft and worn that my wife and I had a very hard time staying out of the middle and we got very little sleep on it! The room needs a new bed !!!
There was no refrigerator! And the toilet was very small and low! We had stayed here 2 or three times before. The last time was two or three years ago and I don't recall any problems.The rate is very good $60 per night plus tax with a military discount not worth it if you can't rest! Gonna find another hotel in the morning if they can't give us something better !!!
