Oh !! How can I forgot to review this guy. Achenbach is one of my favorite pastry store when I used to live in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The doughnuts are amazing there. They are the founder of "LONG JOHNS" I guess, which I like more than doughnuts. Their cakes are also very good. And let me tell you secret, they are not at all expensive. :D

While I do periodically get baked sweets from this place, I think they can strongly improve their customer service. There is an older manager by the name of Karen who works there who has a snippy attitude at times. Otherwise it's a decent place to get baked goods. Their donuts and long johns are very good, but their cakes tend to be dry and crumbly. Cinnamon rolls are good too.

They sell great pastries and pies. One of their specialties is long John donuts. They sell a variety of donuts. They are delcious.

Go for the Long Johns. Everything in this place is fresh, homemade wonderfulness, but the Long Johns are where it's at. Fluffy, sweet clouds of dough.

I ordered a cake for my wedding, gave them an image to match and what we got look like and amateur made it. It look like it was dropped and half a$$ patched, skippers in the icing and the piping work looked horrible. The only good part was the fact that it even showed up

Simply the best sweets and pastries in the area. Great for your sweet tooth, bad for your diet plan. Dunkin' Donuts won't get any of my business if Achenbach's is around.

They have the best pies and from everyone I have spoken to, they are the only place to get a wedding cake. So they are my first stop when we start shopping for our wedding cake!

We've been going here for about 14 years. Almost everything we've had has been great. Ten years ago, we were such big fans that we asked them to make our wedding cake even though our wedding was 2 1/2 hours away. It cost us much more for delivery than the cake, but they did a wonderful job and we wouldn't have changed a thing. I recommend sticking with the desserts and pastries over the breads and rolls.

We ordered the traditional "Happy Birthday Jesus" cake from Achenbach's this year. It was so beautiful! and as always it was so delicious!!! Will absolutely make that order again next year. Everything else that we have gotten from them has been amazing. Thank you for making our Christmas so lovely!!
