Adorable, completely unexpected bakery in Concrete. Lots of options for sweets (ice cream, milkshakes, cupcakes), baked goods (including gluten free), light fare (breakfast and sandwich options), and coffee, all served in a charming venue with friendly staff. A must stop - you will not be sorry you turned off Route 20.
A total gem! Don't miss out on this adorable bakery! This little bakery boasts a robust menu of sweet and savory items, all made in-house. It's also gluten-free! The decor is cheery and the service is prompt and friendly. Whether you're a local or just passing through, you'll definitely want to try this place out.
Great place. Food is so so good. Baked goods are amazing.
First time in so I wanted to try a variety of treats to see what was best. Prices were very reasonable and the coffee and cinnamon rolls were very good. Everything else however tasted like it had been sitting in the display case for at least a day or two. Very dry and, in my opinion, heavy on the ginger. The lemon poppy seed was nearly inedible, not the least bit lemony.
This place is delicious. They have all organic hand made food. They have an old school soda fountain so yummy. They are a tad pricey though.
This place is the best bakery we have ever been to. Absolutely delicious, and you can taste the quality in everything!! Everything is Gluten Free, and made fresh in house! The owners and staff are incredibly kind! Makes me wish we lived here!
This place is soo good!!! And the owners and staff are the kindest! Everything is gluten free and made in house! We want to move here just for breakfast here every morning! But wait! They don't just have breakfast! Legit, coolest bakery we've ever been to!
I just had the best quiche I have ever tasted! It was so light and fluffy. It was also the first time I have had a salmon quiche and I want another piece already! The chef smokes his own salmon here and it is all natural. Dee-licious. The place is so cute and comfortable. I love to sit in the outdoor patio area but the inside is cute as well.
As both a retail and wholesale customer of 5b's Bakery, we've always been very happy with the products and the service! You don't have to be a celiac to enjoy the delicious baked goods but you can rest easy knowing everything is safe if you are.
The gluten free waffle cones are frankly better than regular ones. The cakes and cookies are moist and flavorful. You won't even notice that the pies are gluten free.
We truly have a local treasure in this little cafe!
Amazingly kind and friendly service. I had some breakfast and coffee here early one morning, and the owner came out and asked if she could refill my coffee for me. It's not a full service cafe, so I was pleasantly surprised at how accommodating they were.
Great little bakery in a neat town that would be too easy to drive by if you weren't paying attention. The soup was fantastic and the cookies and baked goods were pretty good; a little on the dry side but I think they were gluten free and I don't think I have ever had a gluten free baked good that wasn't dry. All in all its worth the stop if you are driving through Concrete and I would not hesitate to visit again.
This place is an absolute gem! Nothing here tastes gluten free. The textures are perfect and the flavors will blow your blind. They have something for everyone, whether you're into sweet or savory. If it looks good, try it. The pie crust here is the best I have ever tasted. If you like donut holes you have to try the Duffins. And the bacon cheddar jalapeno pinwheel is my favorite thing when I'm late for work and need a quick breakfast. If you're not local it is absolutely worth the drive out here to try some of the best gluten free baking you will ever taste!
This is such a delightful place. I have been there many times and each time I get astonishing customer service and food. This bakery has truly mastered gluten free. The food is always fresh and the taste is out if this world. They have breakfast and lunch options. My favorite is the biscuits and gravy for breakfast and the grilled ham and cheese for lunch. They also have breads, pizza crusts, and other baked goods for sale. I am blown away that food this good is gluten free.
Oh my Goodness!! I bought their Gluten Free Cinnamon rolls at The Three Sisters in Whidbey Island and they were amazing!! I had to buy a package of four because the single ones were all sold out. I am so glad!!
I have about 1/3 of the roll at a time so they will last me for awhile. Thank you for providing something so wonderful for us that have not had a cinnamon roll in years. I was truly in heaven. God bless you!!
The food is all so wonderful. Even my non gluten free friends want to go back. A true gem. Friendly service
The food and atmosphere is great! It doesn't matter if you can't eat gluten or not. Definitely worth the stop.
This place is awesome. A modern styled, but warm and outdoorsy bakery with fresh sandwiches, high quality baked goods and very good coffee. Prices are reasonable, and quantities are as well.
This is not a dirt cheap, massive baked goods kind of place, but is a reasonably priced, high quality place. They have some outdoor seating, which wasn't being used during our visit due to rain, and a decent sized interior space. The crowd inside was a good mix of locals and outdoor tourists, and had a nice friendly social feeling.
Credit and debit cards are accepted, and they have a full espresso setup for fruffy (fancy?) Drinks. Lastly, the place is a very short distance off of the highway and is very easy to duck into for a quick grab and go.
Wonderful staff. Great food. And gracious & kind to our disabled daughter.
Cafes in small towns can be hit or miss, but 5b's could hold its own in any big city. I've had many outstanding meals there. If I had one criticism it's that I find their rolls a bit too sweet, but there are plenty of delicious savory items on offer to balance that out. Even if you don't care about gluten free (I don't) this is a worthwhile stop when you are in the area.
