Jimmy Bissette does amazing tattoo work and is very professional. I had some really bad knuckle tattoos that he fixed and he put a custom drawn & very detailed skull on the top of my hand. I recommend Jimmy and this shop to anyone that wants a quality tattoo!

I must advise if anyone is planning on going here and having Mr. Jimmy draw their tattoo don't expect any touch-ups. For some reason he believes he is above making mistakes. Not only did he refuse my first tattoo, he also refused to touch up the second one. SMH.

Great experience! Jimmy is very professional and has an obvious passion for tattooing. He was detail-oriented and gentle. Not to mention his artwork is phenomenal. Will definitely be back.

I was looking to get my first tattoo and looked at all of the sites in Raleigh (thinking that the best artists would be there) and reviewed their portfolios. I didn't find any work that impressed me. I decided to look in my back yard (I live in Fuquay-Varina) and found 401 Tattoo. I was REALLY impressed with Jimmy's portfolio and felt that this was the guy. I went in with a mock-up of what I wanted (full color on the upper right arm) and discussed it with him. Knowing nothing about tattoos, he showed me that my original idea was too small and that after time, all tattoos "spread" he enlarged the image but still kept it within my parameters (I'm a professional and didn't want the image peeking below my shirt sleeve). I setup the appointment. and after a five hours session (and some minor touch up a few weeks later), I was done. I'm VERY pleased with the quality of his work as he took my idea and really made it look a lot better. All in all, very pleased. He's a very talented artist and I see myself going back to him in the future to get some more work done.

Marie is magnificent! I was there about 3 weeks ago, and she has excellent customer service skills. She took her time to make sure everything was perfect before starting the tattoo. During the tattoo, she made me feel comfortable and important. She made sure to ask me if I needed a break. Marie was so spectacular that I came back on Thursday for more work. She was outstanding again! Supurb customer service and very patient and caring while doing the tattoo. Marie is an excellent artist that goes above and beyond to make sure her clients are in love with their new art. I'm definitely in love with my new art and I can't wait to come back for more incredible ink. Thank you, Marie for treating me so good and double thanks for the kick ass art!!!

I came to Jimmy with an idea that I had been going over for a while myself but lacked the ability to design it. He took what little I could show him and made it better than I had visualized myself. The shop is very clean, the process was easy and professional. I will be going back for more work and will be recommending him to my friends.
