It was delicious, great for tourists. Don't engage the locals in conversation, they think too highly of themselves for how terrible their economy is.
Awesome pancake!! Best place to have brunch / lunch. It was definitely my top choice for brunch near Middlebury College. I still remember that thick but spongy delicious apple pancake!!
We had breakfast there this morning. I chose the blueberry and chocolate chip pancake with a cup of very good coffee. The pancakes are a from scratch recipe as is everything that is served here. My husband prefers the plain pancake. We both had real VT Maple syrup. Waitress was very pleasant.
Stopped here for a quick take away bite driving through. Surprisingly good coffee. We had a muffin which was decent, and an apple cider donut that was disappointing (stale). The staff was friendly enough but the guy behind the counter seemed confused when I asked for anything. I just asked for things they had on display. "Can I have one of those muffins?" isn't the type of question I expect to be confusing. When I asked for a donut he wordlessly handed me the tongs to get them myself. Hopefully just an isolated incident.
My wife and I live 20 minutes north and this has become our go to brunch place. Excellent food at very reasonable cost and an interesting rotating specials menu that keeps things fresh. They also serve Brio coffee which is one of the best roasters in the area. I have never left this place disappointed.
Nice variety and well crafted flavor. Great casual spot to share time and enjoy food that not only feels good, but is.
Amazing service!!! Great food even for those of us with allergies super helpful staff.
I'm absolutely not one to write a review but my experience today at 3 Sqaures Cafe warrants attention. Grabbed a take out lunch at three squares, friendly service but our food never came up, we waited 30 minutes before anyone said anything to us. We asked how much longer it would be, because we were told 10 minutes when ordering. The ticket for our food had clearly been lost and we could hear the kitchen staff yelling at the front of house about it. We were told 5 more minutes, the kitchen started making our food and rushed it, the chicken tostada was just thrown into a to go box with a tortilla underneath and it was sopping wet. Completely inedible. We were in a rush to get to an appointment but we turned around to try and get a refund because it was so poorly made. When I was trying to get the staffs attention, the cook who made the food barked at me "what does this guy want", I asked if the food could be remade or just put into a wrap and was told that it was a bad idea to order this menu item as take out. I watched the bearded cook with glasses yell at the front of house staff then openly talk about me to the kitchen staff while I was standing right next to the food window. Other than this man, all the staff delivered great service and the meal turned out fine. This employee did not foster a professional or welcoming environment and we will not be returning because of him.
We hadn't been in a while and had a delicious early dinner. The sandwiches were surprisingly superb. Keep up the good work. IT is definitely worth a visit.
Well made, locally sourced food, served in a warm, friendly atmosphere. I bring my kids here all the time and the waitstaff is always extra accommodating.
Great food and very welcoming staff. They even put out water bowls for your dog.
Gourmet breakfast and sandwich shop. Very tasty food, friendly staff, good prices.
High quality food and very good service. The prices were a little high, but that is to be expected for fresh and locally sourced foods.
The coffee was especially good.
My favorite place to eat in Vergennes VT The French Toast is my favorite and I love that they serve breakfast until 3 PM The service is always reasonable and for lunch or dinner I suggest the turkey bacon and Swiss on focaccia bread. hope to see you there. but some time it can be crowded but that is a good sine.
