Don't move here.
It's NOT WORTH it at all.
I moved out now and I'm so glad I'm not there. Not being dramatic. From my experience it was worse nightmare ever!!! Office staffs don't care/no help at all. (If still same office staff)
It typically takes a lot for me to actually take the time to write a bad review but the flooding in my apartment and no communication from maintenance pushed my patience.
The biggest issue with the community is safety. There is another complex behind this community and the drug dealers made a convenient pass through by cutting out a hole in the fence. They blocked it with a wooden pallet, but it's clearly visible. Last night my mom and I saw a group of young adults wondering up and down stairs ways then they all exited through the fence. I mentioned my safety concerns to the leasing office and nothing was done. While I understand that there are may things that require fixing throughout, I feel that this is a HUGE deal that should have been addessed a long time ago.
Maintenance is THE WORST here. My AC unit was out for 5 days during a summer hear wave. I spent around $350 in hotel expenses and I SO GRACIOUSLY didn't charge the leasing office for my expenses nor did I deduct money from my rent for the days that the unit was not in a condition where it could be occupied. Nobody from the office wanted to communicate with me about what was going on until I became irate.
Today 10/8 my apartment was flooded. At one point the water level outside of my for nearly reached the window. I called emergency maintenance twice and never got a response here I am yet again staying at a hotel. My bathroom is flooded, there is water all over the livingroom the carpets in the bedrooms are wet I guess I'll be calling my insurance company to figure out what to do since I bet the leasing office won't care too much. I called maint. At 11am it's 10pm Nothing so I vacated the unit. They act like the tenants are valued here but I'm not feeling valued at all.
Another issue is communication. When the gate was fixed there was an email that went out. Not all of us have time to check emails daily and the day the gate was fixed it was locked. I never received an access card or instructions when I moved in and was reassured that a there would be ample communication prior to the gate being locked when I arrived at 9pm I couldn't get in. I waited for about 30 minutes and then drive to a friend's house to stay the night since I could not get into my own house.
Carrie is very nice and has been helpful but she doesn't have the resources and support to get this community turned around so she's now tainted like the rest of the folks who have worked there and from the tone in her emails you can sense that she's throwing in the flag.
This place is a joke. For $1200 /mo. One can rent a nicer unit in Sandy springs I'm so disappointed and feel like the value is much less then what I pay. I look forward to match 31st 2018.
This apartment complex needs a lot of upgrading. It's not worth the money u pay for it. Staff are unprofessional and I have had numerous problems since I have been here for these 5 months. It would be decent if they put more money into it instead of just the gym and the dog park that no one goes to. Everyone I have spoke to has leak issues like myself . Should not have to come home to big puddles of water on my floor. Walk ways are nasty and dirty .
I was skeptical because of the negative reviews, but I've been here a few weeks and so far it's not a bad experience.
Pros:
When I moved in there was an odor in the apartment, but management quickly scheduled an ozone treatment, which did the trick. Management seems more responsive than many other places that I've been. I haven't seen any bugs or mold. The rent is very reasonable compared to other places in the area (especially for a short term least).
Cons:
The building that I'm in has unclean steps and the walk paths are dirty (which turns to mud when it rains). A pressure washer would do this place wonders. The layout of my building is similar to a hotel, where you have people walking by the living room window. There is some noise from neighbors, but is not too bad.
Overall I think it's a great bang for your buck.
Well I've noticed all of these negative comments. However, I beg to differ due to the fact that based upon my first experience here, it was clearly one to remember. The entire staff was friendly and very hospitable. The initial tour was excellent. Then we just popped back up spontaneously and we received the same results and lastly we stopped by to do our preliminary walkthrough and Ms. Robbie took us on that tour and it was amazing! I know everyone has different experiences, but mine is going down in the history books as one of the best!!! 2330 Cobb you all rock and I know there's no perfect apartment community, but at least you all are striving daily for perfection in my eyes!!
I'm a current resident and its rare that I leave reviews anywhere. To start, we've had a roach problem for so long that I gave up on the pest control company. I've complained to management several times about a possible BLACK MOLD issue. The first time I mentioned it was to maintenance. I asked him why won't they just pay someone to come out test it and see what it is. He said that's too expensive. I'm thinking to myself, I pay rent faithfully every month and my health and well-being aren't worth it? Maintenance said it wasn't mold and that it was mildew. The second time I notice it, they send someone out to paint over it. Well I have three months left in my lease and its back and I cannot wait until I leave this place!
This place is nothing but bugs and staff are rude. Do not spend your money into this garbage.
I wanted to live here, but I couldn't even get into the gate. One of the residents let me in when I told them I was trying to rent an apartment. I waited at the leasing office for 30 minutes and no one ever came up. They had a sign with a clock that said brb. They were supposed to be back at 1:30. I got there at 2:30. It was a waste of my time. Not to mention that I had shady vibes. It looks nice enough, but first impression was horrible.
Dont move here. This is the hood and the staff is just as hood. I have made numerous noise complaints and when the apt mgr came by he said he could here the bass but it wasn't enough to address the issue. I have called smyrna police many times to file a noise complaint. Neighbor refuses to answer the door when police arrive We have given the lease office the police complaint record #'s as proof and they aware of the problem but willingly neglect doing anything about it. The neighbor on the bottom level also plays loud music so they dont complain bc they do the same thing as the person above them. music times have gone as late as 1am but normally anywhere from 2pm to midnight any night of the week. This place is poorly managed had to break lease just to live in peace. Management offered to move us to diff unit but said we would have to pay a fee bc nothing is wrong with the current apt unit. they wanted to charge me to move to another unit while at the same time aware of how many complaints ive made abt the music this is indicative of a individual who lacks not only moral judgement but any type of business sense most units are vacant which is a indicator not to move here.. why so many empty units in such a nice part of smyrna.. the inside is overpriced, upgraded units have walmart quality balling on a budget black appliances accompanied by kitchen cabinets from the 80's. staff turnover is consisent. the lease mgr said the staff that no longer works there never informed him there was a noise issue. we have talked to 3 diff leasing agents in 2 months and all no longer work there, i question how a manager is unaware of anything involving the complex its his job to manage it. very incompetent staff and management. my last noise complaint the leasing office sent a maintenance guy, its not his job nor is it in his job description to address concerns unrelated to maintenance. this is the example of incompetence displayed by this horrid apt complex. If u like living n the hood and where managements only concern is the money u pay them and nothing beyond that move here its the best place to live in misery or the "hood life". the name has changed from cumberland glen but the hood that was present before the name change still remains. its still the hood. Overpriced and under quality. i ask that you reconsider and look at the other recent complaints. its not a coincidence folks save your time frustration and money, this place is no establishment you want to do business with. from the previous reviews you can see a consistent pattern of neglect and lack of morality in decision making
update.. look at mgmt response they kno there is a issue with music but as he said its acceptable lol HOOD SWEET HOOD
Dog moms/dads, double check that your breed is not among those on the prohibited list As they do not list all of their prohibited breeds as they should. (ESP if it's GSD or Husky). I was already miffed since it was like pulling teeth to get my lease terms which I never signed thankfully. I'm reasonable and friendly if you communicate with me, but if you pull this it frustrates me.
