It's the worst airport I ever had. International airport with a "NO ENGLISH " staff speaker. It's ok, but the things is they are rude to international tourist, too rude, they don't care about the opinion ISG would get or how to work nice. They are not friendly, rude, arrogant, ignorance, feel "high proud proud " to work in a airport but what? Nothing! Few access, not much clean, but this is not too bad for me, the bad one is the airport workers, they are idiot and rude! If have zero, why should I put 1. And it's not only me, I had Turkish girl with me, 2 British friend, Taiwanese, some Arabic, their review was TOO BAD!

Overall, not a very pleasant place to be. Crowded, not clean, especially toilets are terrible. There are many cleaners chatting and faffing about whilst toilets stink. There is no free internet. Restaurants give Wi-Fi access for one hour only if you spend certain amount of money with them. If you are stuck here (as people often do, due to frequent delays) you need keep ordering food in order to stay connected. Avoid if you can !

I love this airport, simple, everything within reach, super easy to check-in, it is a bit far on the Asian side of Istanbul, but i love the bus ride to look around and of the gorgeous Istanbul.
You can take Havatas buses that can get you anywhere you want in Istanbul for a cheap price.

Beautiful airport. Just a bit far from city center, but easily accesable through buses or taxi. Metro is not available for this airport, while attaturk airport the facility of metro.

One of the worst airports I had the misfortune of being at. They charge for WiFi, no free drinking water, everything is overpriced even for an airport, no ATM after you pass security. Security staff are lazy, rude and overall horrible.

Wifi coverage poor, even getting access to the wifi is quite difficult if you don't want to pay extra fee. Shops are working slowly and seem to make their own currency exchange rates. Toilets dirty

i have been over 50 airport in the world, this one is not so friendly. but some restaurant is good. there are not many comfortable chair, need to help the passenger feel comfortable.

Tiny airport. Many food outlets.
Tried Big Chefs Restaurant amazing food, rude waiter. The restaurant has a sign that says: "Free wifi if you spend 25 TL". They don't tell you that it's only for one hour. We tried other cheaper restaurants in this same airport and they gave us free Wifi for the whole duration after spending 25TL.response / report this review -

Great big airport. Facilities are good. Transport to Istanbul available as per your wish. Private or public transport. I would advise public transport as it is very cheap and comfortable. Only big problem is too much security checks.

Crowded, dirty, disorganised. Long queue transit to go through security. No atm machines no bookshops in transit. Almost impossible to get half an hour free WiFi. Nobody speaks other than turkish. This airport is horrible. One of the worst I have experienced lately

Very crowded airport with no enough chairs to accommodate everyone. I do not feel comfortable in this airport as the waiting areas are pretty small and so packed of people. Additionally they need a better air conditioning system and more toilets. Toilets are dirty as well.

The good: not much wait at check-in or passport control. A lot of flight info screens and signage is decent.
The bad: passport check staff is not very smiling. 30-min free wifi that requires app download?! Are we still in the 20th century? Waiting lounge are not big enough (I had to go to the next gate to find seats) and there's no power outlets to charge phones. Chairs are not comfortable. Floors are very dirty. Architecture is nothing special. Duty-free shops are expensive with not much choice.response / report this review -

Overcrowded place with least amount of consideration for travelers. Staff is not helping at all and outright rude in their behavior. My advice for future travelers is to reach 4 hours before your international flight or else you may miss your flight ! If anyone from the airport management reads this or if someone can share it with authorities I urge them to train your staff to at least portray a polite behavior if you are of no help otherwise !

2 hours for passport check. Jungle in the queue. No any explaination about the busses Didn't manage to connect to Internet because I was not fast enough to get the app Very far from the city. Nothing good about this place, except maybe the temperature.

It's a very modern and clean airport. It runs well beyond its max capacity though (I remember only 7 years ago we were like the only people in the airport lol). Make sure you have enough time to make your international to domestic or domestic to international connections. There is nowhere to smoke, differently seen you could also say they save you from that harmful habit for some hours though.

I was traveling to the UK from this airport, and they took my power bank because of some new regulation. The officials gave me a receipt so I can take it back when I arrive back to the airport from the lost and found counter. On my return journey, I tried to get my power bank, but it seems like the lost and found office is after the passport control. since I was in the international transient section, and did not have a visa to enter Turkey, I have lost my power bank. It is not really about the power bank, but it is about the outrageous attitude from the airport officials when I was trying to locate the lost and found office. I have tried to talk to no less than 10 official people, and they were ALL extremely rude. I hope I don't have to be there again.

Pathetic.. built for the 70s, not for today's air traffic. Despite a 11 AM Tuesday flight, it was obvious that the infrastructure was crumbling under passenger load. Imagine Mon morning or a holiday peak times! Undoubtedly, I'm going to avoid this airport next time. Further irritation points: the airport makes people download a pointless app for Wifi. Staff - despite working at an AIRPORT - do not speak English well enough to answer basic questions. No cash machine in sight after security checkpoint (and some kiosks only take cash)!! Outside the airport, there's basically a concrete desert with taxi drivers roaming around like vultures to scam unsuspecting tourists. The "fast track" is another scam with only two desk attendants as opposed to 8/10 at the regular queue. So, basically it takes the same agonizing time regardless what queue you're in.

Only thing I can describe this airport is total chaos Passport and visa control disorganised, long queues sorry not aware of how to queue or respect each other!!! Tried to use quick check to avoid paid money and probably waited even longer, seems like another money making opportunity. Facilities are dirty and staff are rude.
