This hammam is super authentic and affordable! Skip the tourist hammams and go for a real Turkish bath house. One of the best experiences in Istanbul. The cost: 53 liras as of April 2018.

It just happens that I am staying two doors away and my AirBnB host highly recommended it. I took his advice and went there around 8:30pm and went straight home to sleep thereafter. It was a fantastic experience all around. I noted that some people mentioned that it was old but that’s the part I personally found most charming. Well worth the effort and time.

Authentic and great. Get the full massage. You wear the towel the whole time. I really recommend this

Local bath house that is no thrills but gives an authentic experience. Very reasonably priced. Staff are attentive and friendly, they do have limited English (but better than my turkish) I enjoyed this more than the more well known bathhouses in istanbul. A great way to unwind after a couple of days site seeing. Also there is a seperate female only bathhouse.

First time to a professional bathing/massage place. It was excellent. Staff are friendly and very skilled. It's tough stuff; expect strong people putting their strength into the massage. Somewhat painful but well worth it as you'll feel very relaxed afterwards.

Bathing area and services are segregated for men and women.

This was a hard place to find in the old city. It was very old floors and walls lined with marble. You get your own room to change and lock whilst in the hammam. You wash yourself them I sat in the hot room. After 10 mins a man came and sat me in a marble cubicle he then worth some and a rough mitten scrubbed me from head to toe. Then I was put on a marble slab and massaged. It was an amazing experience. The place was clean, and very old. After they gave me a cup of tea. The cost was 54 Turkish lr. An excellent hammam at a price for locals not the rip of tourist price.

Small and family owned. Appears to cater to locals but very welcoming and friendly to visitors with material written in English. A very authentic experience.

Great experience! The ladies couldn't speak English but we understood eachother since my friend and I just wanted a basic hammam wash, scrub and massage. Authentic place, changing rooms have no curtains - so don't come here if you are shy (!) and don't expect any soft massages ;) she was pretty rough but I like it that way.

Warrior massage. That's my best description of this place. It's not for the faint of heart -- the man scrubbed and pushed and pulled at me, all while I lay flat on a marble slab. But I loved it -- definitely worth 50 TL. (Also, this is a keep-your-towel-on place.)

This place is hidden from the Main Street and yet a gem place. It's was built in 17 century and wonderfully maintain by the amazing people. They love talking to tourist over a Turkish tea. The best part the price of the hammam and its 53 Turkish lira which includes 20 mins of message from an very experienced massus. They are also very hygienic. You will be very relaxed after the experience.

Great experience, a very keen and professional team of old and very nice guys will rub you with Leefa till you are brand-new clean, mixing hot Turkish sauna with cold water shower will leave your skin porous widely opened. Then message session during rubbing with olive soap will relax your tired muscles (due to shopping) until you fall asleep. Then go to the main lobby and another quick message during drying out will pull out any remaining stresses.
Drink çay (tea) while relaxing will warm you and rejuvenate you.
Cost for everything (53 TL = 15$) don't forget to leave a tip for the nice experience. Enjoy.

Good value hammam, 50 lira for scrub massage and sauna. 30 lira for just sauna (July 2017). Friendly staff, not busy, we just walked in. They provide everything there, and you can lock away your valuables in the changing room. Nice clean place.

Nice and friendly hammam. Not a luxurious one, but for the price you pay it's great. No booking needed - just pop in.

Loved it! Original Turkish bath, clean, great massage and perfect rub! And it's relatively cheap at 50 Turkish Lira's for a full treatment. I will go again next time I'm in Turkey!

Traditional turkish hammam with really friendly staff considering as an english tourist who can't speak Turkish I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing!

You will sit in the sauna for a while before getting a good scrub and wash and then a foam massage.

You get your own room to lock your things in and keep the key with you during the massage.

It is 50TL for the works which is great value!

If you're looking for a traditional hamam, here you're! 50 TRL for a hamam (Turkish bath, sauna) with foam massage. Don't forget to take tea (1 TRL) and leave some bahşiş (tips, 10% = 5 TRL).
    Highly recommended.
