A very unique and ambient environment. Mosque is beauriful. Shrine of Sultan Ayup is adjacent to mosque. People visit quitely and offer lot of respect. Sultan Ayup was one of greatest companion of Prophet Muhammad SAW. He was with army who first conquered Turkey under Islamic reign. He was very old around 90 years and died in the way. But brave shoulder desired that his dead body should also be taken with army and so he was hurried near Istanbul more than 1430 years ago.

I love this place where Abo Eyup Al Anssri was buried. The ambiance is si calm and full with positive energy. It Is a pleasure to watch brides and grooms come for blessings. And little boys wearing the traditional dress and being presented to their manhood.

.we were on a guided tour and this Mosque is right in the same square where we had our lunch! We visited on New Years day not that it matters what day it is or was, there were two funerals taking place so the place was jam packed with tourist and also with locals attending the funerals as also with shoppers as the shopping centre is right there! Indeed its a stunning building and the atmosphere was that of reverence! It was also a very interesting experience to see the tree that is claimed to be just over 600 hundred years old that was planted on this site by a friend of the Prophet Mohamed. The cemetery is also another site to witness especially the tombs that are on the hillside of the mosque! There is also a beautiful spray fountain in front of the mosque and if you can find a place to sit down the sound of the water is very calming .

No help desk available Only on the first day then it is difficult to get hold of anyone. No one knows English nor Arabic. For whatever reason you need immediate attention, then good luck with that! This place have been much better if building management is more involved and available.

The final resting place of one of the great companions of Prophet Muhammad SAW, Hazrat Abu Ayub Ansari RA. He was not only a Sahabi-e-Rasool SAW but Allah SWT also had bestowed on him the honour of being the host of Prophet SAW upon his arrival in Medina Sharif. A must visit.

I would consider this as one of the must visit places in Istanbul. Offer a historical connection with one of the great companions of the prophet Muhammad SAW. Has the tomb of Abu Eyup al-Ansari nearby. Superb interior with serene environment. Perfect for those who which to rejuvenate their souls after a long draught of emptiness.

This mosque is the most crowded mosque in turkey, the most sacred place for turkish people, not because how big it is or how beautiful the architecture but because abu ayyub al anshar was buried here(wallahu alam), and from ottoman sultan period until now only in this place you can see many people praying at morning time

Must see for those who travel to Istanbul. Board bus from Emininu and dismount at Eyup sultan stop, it is 100 meter away. A beautiful mosque and tomb are present here.
